I hope that when the next season starts airing people don't spoil the show all over the internet anymore since the show will then be ahead of the books. I figured out that the reason why I lost interest was because without even watching it or trying to look up any information on it I already knew about 90% of all keypoints, like characters dying and whatever. If people can keep it in their pouch at least for a few days then I might pick it up again come season 7.

Ah. Well, I gave up trying to read Game of Thrones about 10 years ago after I managed to make it half way through it after three attempts. Glad they made this series!

I am SUCH a huge fan of the show. I was maybe a tad disappointed with season 6, you could tell they had to invent a lot of their own storylines (though there were still many great moments of course). I am nervous for the last two seasons (or last two half-seasons really, since they will only be 7 and 6 episodes long). I just want a satisfactory end to it all, one that does the whole story justice. I don't want to feel like the show is ruined because of how it ends.

I've never had any problem whatsoever with the more 'controversial' scenes of the show, the ones that everybody and their mother seemed to be up in arms about (the Jaime and Cersei scene, Sansa's wedding night, etc). I feel like there's been a double standard to the outcry. Men have been castrated and violated on the show, but no one said anything. And yet when women were violated, there were articles upon articles written and petitions started. If anything, I feel the show has always given a fair representation of times of war and how things very much would have been in Medieval times.

My favorite characters are Arya, Jaime, The Hound, Tyrion, Bronn, Podrick, Sam, Jon, Brienne and Tormund. House Stark is my favorite house and I love all the locations in the North. What I love about the show is how it can change your opinion on characters from one season to the next. I did not like Jaime or The Hound in Season 1. I started to be a bit more sympathetic to them in season 2 and from season 3 and onwards, they've been among my absolute favorite characters. Season 2 also made me like Tywin and Sansa. It might be an unpopular opinion, but I don't really care for Daenerys that much. Most of her locations and storylines since season 2 have been quite snooze-worthy for me. Hopefully it will be a bit more engaging once she gets to Westeros.
