I loved her manical smile when in that scene!
So... who else is wondering what happened to Will? Since Blackbeard had the Flying Dutchman?

So I just got back from watching this. I went in thinking it wasn't going to be good at all, so I was pleasantly surprised. I chuckled a lot, but there wasn't really anything that I thought was super funny. I'm not a fan of Penelope Cruz, and I didn't like the whole Blackbeard and his daughter thing. Actually I didn't like Blackbeard much at all... It felt a bit like Davy Jones all over again, except he wasn't even close to being as scary as Davy Jones.
All in all I think it was an okay movie. I might have liked it better if it were the first and not the fourth, but as it is I just think it was okay.

His fate was sort of ambiguous though. Honestly, if there is a Pirates 5 I don't think they'll bring him back. Sad day for all of us who love dear Phillip.

That is what I was fearing! Man, that is so sad! I guess they will simply have to bring in someone just as hot as Will and Phillip (perhaps introducing Will's son somewhere?)

Multi-generational films? Why the heck not?! I would watch it if it were a good quality film.

POTENTIAL SPOILERS (Kind of pointless though - why would you click on this thread if you're not expecting spoilers? )I saw this on May 20th, aka the opening day for US citizens. I went dressed up with my friends, and missed the opening scene since I went to get our popcorn bag refilled, but I came in for the London scene. And boy, I have to say.... I LOVED it. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, especially since people were demanding a lot after AWE. The mermaid attack scene? INCREDIBLE. And the part where Blackbeard had the cook row out in a boat and have canons shot at him - whoa. And twice? OH MY GOD. I think that solidified him as one of my favorite villains - even more so than Davy Jones (who I felt ended up looking weak compared to Blackbeard). Funniest moment, personally: When Jack asked Barbossa: "Do you have termites?", I started CRACKING UP, I mean, really LOUD laughter and no one else in the theatre was laughing. That was BEYOND awkward. Johnny's Fan wrote: ^ Did he get shot at the end? Pretty pointless bringing him back if he did. I thought so too, but it was hard to tell... I actually don't think it was Gillette, but I could be wrong. And did Jack REALLY eat Judi Dench's earring?! That was a bit... uh, strange? Phillip and Syrena were adorable. I just wish they would have told us what happened with them. Bah, cliffhangers. AAAAANNNNNNDDDDD.... Apparently Ted & Terry already have the 5th movie's script completed, but Johnny wants to take a break with filming since the back-to-back shooting of DMC & AWE was rough. So it looks like this isn't the end yet, mates.

So that over my vacation. Ended up liking it.
What will happen to the fleet of ships in bottles?

Really liked the movie. Wasn't that concerned with no Will or Elizabeth because I mostly watch the movies for Jack... I mean Captain Jack Sparrow. He was just as funny and as entertaining.

Agreed, honestly I didn't think about Will and Elizabeth at all while watching the movie. I figure their storyline is pretty much finished, unless they can come up with a good idea to bring them back. Blackbeard was awesome, although I'll admit I did expect him to be a bit more, well, evil I guess. Dont get me wrong, he was a bad, bad guy, but I was kind of expecting just a tad bit more evil from if not the then one of the most feared pirates. The mermaids were awesome, all I could think when they started attacking people was 'somewhere in this theater some little girl is going home and getting rid of her Little Mermaid doll'. I love Jack and Barbossa's back and forth needling and bickering, always entertaining. Captain Jack Sparrow all the way! I'd join his crew anyday!
