Just wondering- didn't I actually already post that scene from the script? I'm pretty sure I included it in one of my posts because I didn't feel that I could adequately describe the dynamics between them in AWE.

Oh, and about the music, here's a guide to the themes I used:

0:00-0:20---Kraken theme (though mostly just used here for ominous "something's about to happen" music...there is no Kraken) and hints of Beckett/EITC music

0:21-0:34---Adding in the beginning of Tia's theme (also used in Underwater March, aka Barbossa)

0:35-0:45---Still building; more instruments used, including organ

0:46-1:25---Calypso's theme (written by moi); might want to pay attention to the general swirling motion of it; also uses the same note progression as Jones' theme (though obviously different rhythms and instrumentation)

1:26-2:38---Taken from Jack Sparrow, but mostly just general action-y music

2:39-2:55---Dutchman is here! Same music as is played the first time we see it rise out of the waves

2:56-3:16---Calypso again, still steadily growing faster and more powerful

3:17-3:23---Rising action/reaching a climax

3:24-3:34---Beckett's theme, slowed down and played lower...wonder what that might symbolize?

3:35-4:27---More general action stuffs

4:28-4:37---It's over!

So...yes. Read that as you may. That's all the help you get. :teehee:

Squee! *Stares at it obsessively* A lot could be read into that, but a lot of the obvious stuff I pretty much already know. I'll have to download it and listen :)

Yeah, I've always had the idea that at least one main character dies during that battle...

Does Beckett die PotR? That's actually what I was guessing when I heard it first, before I saw your [most useful] guide.

I sort of hope not, somehow. Maybe it's Norrington, too - the Beckett theme could apply to him as well. This is making me so antsy! I can't wait for May, I just can't...

Soo... somebody's [Beckett's?] ship gets sucked into a giant whirlpool? Is that what you're saying?

*remembers seeing a sketch of (possibly) said whirlpool in the background when watching DMC extras*

Unless, of course, that was just something they decided not to do for DMC... :bounce:

No...it was for AWE. 'Tis a swirly. (part of Calypso's storm)

Umm...it doesn't exactly get sucked down...well, I suppose it eventually would be...but the cause of its demise was not solely the whirlpool

I was just browsing the internet and found two pics from AWE + a summary...

As the age of piracy comes to a close, Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann must sail off the edge of the map, navigate treachery and betrayal, and make their final alliances for one last decisive battle. Our heroes must face Lord Cutler Beckett, Davy Jones and Admiral James Norrington in a titanic showdown that could eliminate the freedom-loving pirates from the seven seas -- forever.

ADMIRAL James Norrington? What, did they promote him as well? And maybe I'm reading way too much into it, but why do they use Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann? Cause I'm hoping it'll be Elizabeth Turner by the end!
