Ok, I sort of do...I'm hopeless with jokes. I take things way too literally and seriously. Oh by the way, potr, I thought of something interesting to add to your transcript of the trailer. Maybe, have like a scene where you see the pirates on the gallows. Or wait, that's a bit graphic...

Aye, the movie actually starts with a group pirates lined up for the gallows. It's a good scene, but it couldn't really be worked into the trailer (and it's graphic).
But at the beginning of the "trailer," the child singing is actually from that scene. While they're all lined up to hang, a young cabin boy begins to quietly sing that song. Men keep joining in until the whole group is singing it. It's basically their last act of defiance, showing that even in the face of death, they're proud to be pirates.
Quote: A PIRATE CABIN BOY stands on the gallows. A noose is fitted around his neck. Among the PIRATES in line, a TUNE begins, hummed low.
Then the cabin boy starts to sing, low and wavering, focused only on the song and not those who have come to see him hang –
CABIN BOY (O.S) Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the Colors high… heave ho, thieves And beggars, never shall we die…
The cabin boy closes his eyes –
501A IN THE BLACKNESS A SILVER COIN FALLS, tumbling slowly. It is a SILVER PIECE OF EIGHT, irregular, golden light glinting off it’s rough surface –
CABIN BOY The king and his men stole the queen From her bed and bound her in her Bones……
501B BACK TO SCENE: as a PIRATE waiting joins in, sings low
PIRATE The seas be ours and by the powers Where we will well roam…
In the crowd stands SIR CUTTLER BECKETT among OFFICERS of the EAST INDIA TRADING COMPANY. He frowns at the waiting prisoners, as more pick up the song:
PIRATES Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the Colors high…heave ho, thieves And beggars, never say we die
Beckett gives a nod. A wood-SQUEAK, THUNK as the gallows trap-door opens—
501C IN DARKNESS, the SILVER PIECE OF EIGHT tumbles and turns…..
501D AT THE GALLOWS, the line of Pirates watch with dread and fascination as the young man dances his final dance. Another Pirate is led to the noose –
OLD MAN Some men have died and some are alive And others sail on the sea – with He keys to the cage…and the Devil to pay we lay to Fiddler’s Green!
A lever pulled. Another pirate SWINGS. A rope tightens. Another pirate HANGS. Faster and faster. Beckett smiles. A DOZEN PIRATES now dangle at the END of their ROPES – and a FINAL PIRATE drops down, boots CLOSE IN FRAME –

Caunion the Frost Lord, see part of it was that not long back Altariel Frodo said that in that shot that Will looked the grim ballerina and Elven Archer agreed and so there was a little talk about him being a ballerina/dancer or whatever. If I was guessing that may have been part of why the banner says dancer (...the fact that some thought that he looked like a dancer in that shot). So it's kind of like a bit of an inside joke and maybe a dahs of fun added in. Least wise that's the way I take it. Of course Ms. Gamgee could have put that for other reason(s) but I think that that may have at least something to do with it. I hope that that helped.
Pirateotherings, Wow...AWE is going to get started off on a um...bit of a dark note. Sounds much darker but I'm still excited about getting to see it. Well, thanks for posting that for us and clearing it up.

That is so awesome! PotR, you are amazing. That is the most awesomest, coolest, trailer I have ever seen! Er...read! I soooooo want to see the movie x5 of what I used to now(witch was alot to start with). You really should be a director, or....who makes the "real" trailers anyway? is it the editors? well, then you should be one of those.
wow, that first scene was a bit....creepy. how can a man(even kutler bekket) smile at such a thing?! why di all the first or second scenes have to be so...scary and graphic? sorry, but I really hated that "turkish prison" scene in DMC, the black nirds and all, why did they need that? it didn't serve much of a perpose.

(hey, I just noticed somthing, the three first letters in 'awesome' are AWE! so its AWEsome! haha!)

*applause* WOW, that was excellent PotR!
^I must agree, Barbossa rocks. He was a very entertaining villian and seemed Jack's evil equal. Davy was a bit too myhtical for the story, (or it seemed to me,) but he still rocked. Just less than barbossa.

well i think for anyone it would be difficult to really get davy jones because we first of all he is "legendary" i guess you could say he has acual history but also i mean he's part of like 3 sea creatures.
so im just saying in my opinion they did the best they could. but i guess i can see where your coming from.
