Wimbledon Men's Final - Wow, that was an edge-of-your-seat final!  I was really torn, as I didn't really want Roger Federer to equal Bjorn Borg's 5 Wimbledon mens titles in a row record, and I also wanted a different person to get a chance at winning Wimbledon, but on the other hand, I didn't want Rafael Nadal to be that person this year, so in the end I was quite happy with the result. RF scared me in the fourth set though, I've never seen him get so... agitated...  ... he's usually so calm and cool and to see him rattled and swearing was really, really odd.
And then after that Wimbldon Mixed Doubles Final - YAY!! A Brit won!!  Everyone in the UK was harping on about British No1 Andy Murray winning Wimbledon and when he pulled out, no-one even mentioned his brother, Jamie who was playing doubles. And to actually win alongside Janela Jankovich.... it was just a great moment in British tennis. Who'd have thought Jamie, the outsider would have claimed a Wimbledon title before his brother! They made a great pair, I hope they are together for many more wins.
And now I'm sad, because that is the last of Wimbledon.  And the last of all the great commentators, John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, Pat Cash etc for another year. And another year before I see the loverly Andy Roddick. *sniff*
