^ Ja, right after we came out of the theater, this big jet flew overhead...we all fake-screamed and kind of disturbed the people around us...^^

If I recall Jazz was a Porsche, not sure what they changed him to for the movie. Soundwave was the boom box and had all these cool wee cassettes that transformed too.
LOL Yes Megatron was a large gun and needed Starscream (or another Decepticon) to fire him. Actually led to a lot of complaining from Starscream as he thought he would make a far superior leader than Megatron.
[/geek rant]

yesterday my friends and sister watched transformers stuff on youtube and we found a vid of the battle between optimus and megatron from teh cartoon. it was so great. hehe.

Saw it with my sister, brother, and two of our friends yesterday.
Loved it! I especially loved the battle at the end of the movie. Don't know what else to say, since I didn't hear half the dialouge (as I'm deaf)

Saw the movie the last night. Loved it totally. I have never seen the cartoons of Transformers before so I found pretty good.

lol i saw it again so i've seen it 3 times. does anyone have the soundtrack? i think it's weird how it's music instead of score. they should release a score version from transformers.

I never did get round to posting my thoughts on this lol.
So here it is..a Transformer fangirls perspective.
I've said numerous times on various forums and in various conversations that I was from the start very wary of a live action Transformers. Also that it was Michael Bay that was given the reigns to make this movie a reality. Now I've flip flopped back and forward betweem moaning about it to defending it.
The trailers helped me make up my mind, at least to the point of giving it a chance and not blindly bashing it.
Anyhoooo...onto the movie itself.
To cut to the chase I absolutely loved it. Everything was brilliantly done. The CGI for all the Transformers was flawless. I never truly thought having the original voice of Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) would make a difference. But it really did. It gave it a connection to the original cartoon that would not have been there with a different voice actor. Hugo Weaving did a great job as Megatron also.
All the characteristics of the Autobots and Decepticons were there. The antagonistic relationship between Megatron and Starscream was there. Bumblebee's loyalty to a human was there. Jazz's attitude was there.
I wasn't overly keen on the soundtrack, and would have preferred a score. Though I would have marked out for the original theme being used.
Ah I could ramble on and on about how fantastic this movie was and how I feel it truly honours the spirit of the original cartoon. But I'll leave it there for now.
One last thing though....I LOVED the ending in the credits. Left it wise open for a sequel.

omg i i absolutely loved everything about it too! but it would be nice to release a score from the movie as well. but i love the theme song and "what i've done" very cool songs. i can't find a transformer of optimus prime ANYWHERE!!! he's all sold out and i'm saving up so i can buy him because he's so expensive! i have to say i am obsessed with this movie and i can't wait until the sequel if there is one. i've looked up almost everything about TF and on youtube there is some pretty cool vids i watch. does anyone else feel the same, or am i just crazy?

Nah, you're not crazy. Transformers is a great thing to get geeky over.
I'm not surprised the Optimus was sold out. I wish I still had my original toys and comics

Oh no lol I had original action figures of Prime, Jazz, Soundwave (the cassettes like Frenzy that came with him were so cool lol) and Starscream.
Every issue of the Marvel comic too, I had them stored in a big well marked box...which my mum then threw out. I was less than impressed.
I'd love to get some action figures, but the original ones which are no doubt going for a large amount on Ebay. I'm not overly keen on the new figures that coincided with the movie.
On a sort of related note..did you know they were going a new aminated series?

Really? i didn't know that. i started watching the older ones on the internet, starting from episode one but i've had very little time for that stuff so i've only watched 1 & 2, which isn't very much at all....
really? i love the movie ones. my bro got ironhide and we got a smaller version of barricade, very cool except he's gray instead of black, but it still has the cool motto on it. i still can't find an optimus. i found one but it was still biding and it's up to 50.00!!! i'm still looking though. my sis still hasn't found a bumblebee.
my bro said that Gm or GMC has done something with Hasbro and yu can get a special ordered GMC truck version of Ironhide even with the autobot sign on it! that would be soo cool to have. all the cars are displayed of were displayed in hollywood. i wish i could've gone.

I've never watched the comic books, never seen the cartoon, but inspired by you guys, I went and watched it tonight.
It was waaaay better than I expected. The CGI was great, the action was good, the character portrayal was mostly good, the music was decent, and the story was well laid-out. It was a very cool movie.

but good news, the score is being released October 9! i am so excited!! hahaha. the movie is finally coming out October 16 or 19 i can't remember. i've heard the IMAX version is pretty impressive.
