Widescreen for me! If you have the black bars, check to see if the remote for your TV has a button that says "Video" on it. You may be able to adjust your TV to adjust the size of the black bars. I didn't know this until recently, but some TV's allow you to control this so that the black bar is only a tiny black bar at the top and the bottom instead of most of the screen.

But when you do that you automatically crop the sides of the picture, which almost brings it down to Fullscreen anyways

I only bought about two fullscreen DVD's ages ago before I moved to Widescreen. I was convinced to switch a few years ago by this really cool special on TCM (I think) about why they show all of their movies in widescreen. The amount fullscreen cuts out is awful.

I prefer fullscreen.I have vision problems, and since widescreen is a strip, instead of the whole screen,I can't make out the charcter's faces unless its fullscreen,or almost full widescreen. :confuzzled: It doesn't matter to me if I miss the edges,as long as I see the people.

I guess I like widescreen better since most movies have been in that format lately. I'm just used to watching them that way.

For my T.V., it would have to be Widescreen. But on some of my friends T.V., widescreen streches the picture too much. Most of the time, it would be Widescreen. But it really depends on the screen.
