Yes, my brother thinks the technology has been improved so much (the sturdy glasses with normal lenses are better than cardboard) that film-makers are trying to employ it more. Still, it's not like the days when television was in its heyday and cinemas were being neglected, that they need something different to draw audiences back into cinemas, so it must just be because they can make them so much better now.

Not that I'd want to see every film in 3-D.... the glasses are very uncomfortable to wear over my normal specs... and some films wouldn't suit 3-D as much as others. I would like to see Nightmare Before Christmas in 3-D. That would look great. :D

Aye, they are much better than the red/blue lenses that came in cereal boxes... haha. I guess I like it, just not for long periods of time. One movie that looks really cool in 3-D is going to be "UP"... the previews were amazing with the glasses on, the colours, everything looked great. But I've seen NBC in 3-D before [went last Halloween] and it was a bit disappointing to me. Nothing really popped out, except for when it was snowing near the end. It was all right, but basically we paid $30 to go see a movie I've got at home, with very little added to it in the way of 3-D. If you've got some extra money laying around, then by all means, go watch it, but it's nothing I'd waste hard-earned cash to go see.
