If he's supposed to be made of marble or something, I don't think he should be "fuzzy" as Darky put it.

No, he really shouldn't...
And I don't know, he seems way too pale in that picture. Like he's sickly or something.
I mean, no offense, but he's supposed to be attractive...
Pale and sparkly perhaps, but still. Not creepy.
(And not fuzzy.)

Ahem. *randomly stumbles in thread*
My thoughts about Twilight movie:
Robert Patterson can do a decent Edward if he works at it. It's not like I pictured Edward... but then again, do we really know of anyone who can be as breathtakingly gorgeous as Edward? The thing I don't like is how they have so much lipstick on him in all the promos. Never did Stephanie Meyer so that the Cullens lips were apple red! *shudder* I mean, I'm sure they were slightly stained with blood, but I didn't image it to be that bad.
Okay, Jasper. Jasper is my favorite character in the whole series... so it's a big deal to me, and I am a bit disappointed with Jackson. His hair is All Wrong!!! And Jackson Rathbone is very nice looking in my opinion, but he's no Jasper. However... I think I trust him a bit more than Patterson. Cause he's an excellent actor. (Not that Patterson isn't, but Jackson is exceptional.)
Now as for Bella... Kristin Stewart will do. I think a lot of fans would've been happy if they'd made her a bit plainer, but whatever. *shrug*
And I can't believe you guys didn't like the ballet studio scene! I did. And even more I liked the other clip (the one were Edward and Bella are walking and talking)... and Edward says "Google it." THAT was classic.

THAT was an unnecessary scene which cut out, like, half the book. (not really, but still)
My theory: Remember in the first teaser how Bella is asking how old Ed was? They were in the woods! NOT HIS CAR!! My theory is that most, if not all, of the Port Angeles scene has been cut out. :*(

i'd like to point out that since stephenie has said she is happy with the casting, then i trust her. maybe it's cause i'm an optimist but i have high hopes for the movie.
(hence, the banner/avvie change for the upcoming book/movie. seriously. omg.)

I never read the books... never even heard of them, but I'm interested in this movie. The trailer looks pretty interesting.

Frodofan: Read it --- they're not the best in the world but they're exactly my brand of heroin (I said it, okay?)
Maironiel: I love your avvie/banner. Super cool.

^^You've never heard of them? I'm amazed. My friends drove me insane talking about it for about a year before I finally caved. The books aren't AMAZING (unless you're an Edward fangirl ) but they're entertaining page-turners. I hope the movie will turn out to be the same.

Nope. Maybe I'm completely out of it. What is the level of writing? Maybe I'll try to check it out sometime... when I finish my current stack.

It's written for teens and young adults. But it chronicles a girl in high school -- not too complicated.

It's simple enough that every single high school age girl I know has read it. (Other than a few that are holding out just to bug their obsessed friends.) Gosh, there wasn't a day that went by last fall that I didn't see someone reading Eclipse at school...it really is quite the phenomenon. Crazy.
^^^Oh, poor Precious. He's invaded your subconcious.

Eclipse is the third book in the series. Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse.
And now Breaking Dawn, which is apparently going to be the end. My friends are going to a midnight release party.

Ah! I see. Well, thanks for getting me interested. Another book to add to the list.
