When Jack and Elizabeth were on the beach together in the first movie there was some major drunk flirting going on. Just like Johnny Depp says on the commentary track for that scene "[Jack] really thinks he's going to get lucky". And I think he also says later in the movie "it never would have worked out between us, darling" (or something along those lines). While that was a joke he still honestly thought Elizabeth had a thing for him.

Hmm...yes that is true. Just perhaps it was taken a bit too far in DMC, for me anyway.

Hehe I actually loved Jack's continuous flirting with Elizabeth in DMC. Extremely hilarious, especially that "I happen to have no dress in my cabin" comment. But different strokes for different folks I guess _________________

I think I have to agree with you on all accounts JF... DMC went way overboard on the Jack/Elizabeth flirting...bleh...

Ah, that's good to know. It wasn't because I saw Jack as a threat to Willabeth... it just annoyed me. It was only in the mind of the rabid Willabethers that either Jack or Norrington were any threat. I'm surprised Davy Jones didn't come under some flak for being a threat.  _________________

Aw. I loved the flirting in DMC. I thought it was so much fun the way everyone interacted.
I also thought the dialouge was great. It showed that Elizabeth was having some doubts and becoming more pirate-ey shall we say? She really wanted Jack to kiss her. Bad girl...
I still hate her for what she did.
