I'm serious! I really think that's what I saw! He may have, he might not, but I think he did!

We all know he could have and is capable of it.

I don't think so... he slashes at Jack some, but I didn't see anyone actually stab him (course, that may be just a matter of time :P).

You sure? It's right before the scene changes, and it really looks like it.

Barbossa doesn't stab Jack. He's merely drawing his sword in front of Jack, and the angle of the shot (and the fact that it's only a brief glimpse) makes it look like he's stabbing him. Believe it or not, Barbossa and Jack actually almost get along most of the time (or at least, better than would be expected).

I certainly hope your right. If your not I will simply have to write me up some hate mail to Disney.

Goodness, I don't like that scene already. Not one bit.

Yes. I am PotR. And I know everything. Except not. :teehee:

I just happen to know people who know everything. And people who know people who know everything. And the writers, but they're terrible people and exist only to torment us with ambiguous comments and allusions to unmentionable details.

I can't wait for the third one to come out. There's a question I've been dying to ask. I recently read this bio of Liz on Wikipedia and it was saying that she didn't like being a noble woman... you know the usual movie plot where the wealthy girl dosen't want to be proper. But Liz dosen't seem that way. She only is doing this for Will. Do you think she enjoys being rich?

So then, we can assume you've seen the movie? I highly doubt that. I also doubt you know everything, so until then I'm not believing until I see some proof.

Pfft. I wish.

No, I have not seen the movie (or at least, no more than the various clips that are readily available online). I've merely followed the production of this movie for two years, collected a total of about 200 behind-the-scenes pictures (not counting screencaps of the trailer and promo footage), read two versions of the script (a rough budgeting draft and a more recent one), read the novelization five times, spoken to various confirmed insiders concerning certain details, analyzed every word spoken by Ted and Terry for hidden meanings and hints, and discussed and debated every last minute detail of the aforementioned subjects with a community of roughly 100 other spoiler-hunters, some of whom are also "in the know."

But no, I'm just your average, everyday fan with way too much time on my hands. :teehee:

EDIT (more added to the previous post after I'd already started mine): I agree wholeheartedly. You should not trust everything you hear, or at least not take it at face value. Nothing is final until the worldwide premier. I just happen to know that while Barbossa would certainly like to see Jack dead at some point, he has far higher priorities in this film that need to be taken care of before he sees to settling a personal vendetta.

I've seen drafts online already, but I'm not quite sure I believe everything written. After all, everything can change before your eyes. I'm not gullible enough to believe everything I read online. You have to be willing to doubt until, as I've said before, you are shown the proof.

Yes, but when I have 200 pictures supporting several pivotal scenes of said script, the actual novelization of the movie, and confirmation from very reliable sources, I am understandably inclined to believe that there is some modicum of truth in what I am reading. The budget draft, I know has changed drastically. Ted himself has told us to take it with a grain of salt "as big as the Twinkie representing the amount of psychic energy in Manhattan" (for non-GhostBusters-fans: really, really big :teehee:). And I do not pretend to know everything. I don't even know for certain exactly how the film will end, as they are keeping that secret very well. But I do have a pretty good idea.

I am perfectly willing to doubt anything and everything I read. That's where the "discussing with hundreds of other spoiler-hunters" comes in. I'll not believe anything without reason. I've heard rumors that there's a huge sex scene in the middle of the film that will bump the rating up to R. But that doesn't mean I believe that for a second. It's all about sorting the information and holding it all up against known facts. We can never figure out exactly what's going to happen, but we can get pretty dang close.
