****SPOILER****

Yes, I thought the Lords were cool too. I like the part when they all started raising there flags after Elizabeth's speech. I got chills.

Yes, I also noticed the ear ring. Well, it's better than a huge pirate loop ear ring, right? :P

I thought i might as well as here, since it's about Pirates 3, but does anybody know where I can find good pics of the movie? I'm in a pirates mood now and wanted to find some pics so I could request for people to make some banners, but I can't find any...:(

***Spoilery Spoilers***

I just got back from seeing it, and I can only say one thing really. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I don't even thinik I can form an opinion on it yet. I need to see it again.

There was definitely a lot less of Johnny than in the previous ones, and I think that's one of the reasons I don't feel this one was as good.

The fact that everyone kept crossing each other was confusing. It was a bit dizzying trying to keep up with who was on whose side and what not.

I was so upset when I thought Will was going to die, and he's not even my favorite character.

The wedding scene was one of my favorites. I am so getting married like that now. And I'm so happy that Will and Elizabeth were together, well, almost, in the end. Thank God it wasn't Elizabeth and Jack.

I hated the whole Giant Calypso thing. It had no point. And I couldn't tell anything she was saying when she was huge.

It bothered me that like fifty thousand people wanted Elizabeth. Why? Can there be one male character that doesn't want to do her? Honestly.

And I was so disappointed that Elizabeth didn't get to be with Will. I hated that. I spent the entire time out of the theater and during the credits trying to figure out a way Will could not be captain of the Flying Dutchman anymore but still somehow survive and be with Elizabeth and their son.

Did anyone find the whole Will making out with Elizabeth's leg thing a little weird? Or was that just me?

And Orlando Bloom with an earring = . I didn't like that.

But overall it was still brilliant. I love it. How could I not? I'm going to go see it fifty thousand more times if I can.

Oh, it's awesome!!! I've been trying to find pics of Will in the bandana and his scar and then of him and Elizabeth kisses and now I've finally have, all thanks to the wonderful and most magnificent JF!!! Hannon le! :notworthy:

Now all I have to do is find someone to make me some banners! lol

And during this past hour I've been listing to clips of the soundtrack. I love the song the sing at the beginning, so I'm listening to it over and over and over again. lol

Yay. Finally I get to post my full review, I was worried about spoilers the last time I was on here. Sooo....

******SPOILERS***********

Like I said, I thought it was awesome. I really loved it. Some parts were..odd I suppose. Like the "Multiple Jacks" thing. I liked it, it was just odd. But there's Jack for you. :P

Norrington's death... I liked that he finally figured out where the "right" side was. I liked the character development, but I was very sad about his death. He did get to kiss Elizabeth goodbye though.

Calypso and Davy Jones- I loved that whole thing. The scene where they talk for awhile was really cool. I also thought it was incredible how their story ended up being "parallel" to Will and Elizabeth's. It was like a classic love story. :) (Of course Will and Elizabeth's was better because they actually truly stayed in love for good.)

The maelstrom- awesome, to sum it up in a word. I LOVED the scene where Will and Elizabeth get married- that was incredible. I also loved that in the end Jack gave up what he wanted most- immortality- to save Will's life. I loved that entire scene... just purely incredible.

The ending was awesome, in my opinion. Sure, I hated it- it was sooooo sad. I definately needed some kleenex on that one. But still, it was beautifully done, no matter how sad it was. It still gives me a sinking feeling in my stomach to think about it, but I wouldn't change it for anything. It was just so.. fitting and so right.

And little William Turner the 3rd was adorable as well, as an end note. :P

*SPOILERS*

Sooo....

Overall, I liked this one much better than DMC, much more... satisfying. *waits to get clobbered*

The good:

- Beckett. While I never actually liked the guy, I thought he was a good character. Not in the moral sense, of course, but as a bad guy, he was excellent. And the scene at the end, when he's walking down the steps on his ship, the steps being systematically destroyed behind him, and then the ship blowing up... call me perverted, but I really liked that scene. *shrugs*

- Barbossa. The guy is just awesome. 'Nuff said. :P

- All the backstabbing, double-crossing, subterfuge, and so on. I actually didn't find it particularly confusing, and I love the challenge of trying to remember who's on what side and why. :P

- The whirlpool battle. Absolutely incredible. I especially liked the part when Jack and a few other fishy-faced people were all spinning around on the ropes. Lots of fun to watch :-D And Barbossa marrying Will and Elizabeth while still trying to fight at the same time was great
On a slightly more serious note, Jack's face when Will was stabbed, and him helping Will stab the heart. (Me: Finally. *exasperated/happy sigh*) (not that Jones was dead, and Will was most likely about to be, :P but that Jack finally had some sort of concern/compassion for someone other than himself)

The bad:

- Norrington dying. The heck was that for?! :annoyed: I get that he was trying to give Elizabeth a chance to escape, but still... *moans/sobs* (at least he got to kiss her once before he died :P That part I liked)

- 50-foot-tall Calypso. Why? I just don't get it. I didn't like how abrupt her storyline was, either :annoyed2:

- Bootstrap. First, he's all 'Yay, Will's coming to rescue me! No, wait, that's not a good thing, 'cause to do that he'd have to kill the Dutchman, and then take his place, and if he did that he'd have to give up Elizabeth, and we wouldn't want that for him', then he whirls around and turns into some Borg drone and kills Norrie, snaps out of it when Will almost dies, and then tells Will (as if it's his fault) that he can't see Elizabeth again but once every ten years. Well, who's bright idea was that, hmm? :yeahright: I mean, can he not make up his mind?

The just plain weird:

- All the multiple Jacks. Need I say more? (apparently the whole 'going down with the ship' thing didn't exactly do Jack's mental state any favors xD)

@ Starlight - Ah, now I know why the page is stretched, lol. ;)

Wow. That's odd. Most people think he was in them less in DMC, but a lot more in this one than the last.

LOL! You're getting married in the midst of a battle between pirates and navy, by some once dead pirate!? Cooool.

Erm....who wanted Lizzie? I mean I think Sao did, because he thought she was a goddess... but who else?

Oh, yes.... that was not right....I saw that with my brother.... boy was that embarassing... in that scene I noticed her clothes didn't look particularly old or piratical either.

No, no to earring for me as well.

------------------------------------------
@ Tur - Well I'm glad you found what you wanted. *cough* What banners would you be wanting?

---------------------------------------
@ ~*ArwenEvenstar*~ - *sniff* It shouldn't have beena goodbye kiss....it should have been "I love you and I always have". :'(

Well to each his own. But personally I hated the ending, and I said to my brother - let's hope there's a really good scene after the credits.... and then they threw my worst nightmare at me. I just rested my head on the back of a chair and sighed.

------------------------------------
@ Mae - No, you're right. It has it's faults but technicaly it is better than DMC..... it has Barbossa for one thing!! :D

I really liked the end scene with Beckett as well. I think it was good rather than him being killed instanlty, that he got to see all his hopes and dreams literally blowing up around him. Very cruel. :P

:notworthy: Too true! Go Barbossa!

Ack....*sobs*.... I'll never get over that.... when I watch it on DVD, I'm going to whizz through him dying.... so pointless.... and painful....

@ JF- Would you really be willing to make some for me? Honestly???? *le gasp* Could I pm them to you, or post them here...(I am going to have a couple, I think...)

Yes, the mutiple Jacks where quite weird, but hilarious!!!

"Wait! Nobody move!" *looks around* "Where's my brain?" -Jack in the wall

lol ^ right after he "licked" his own brain, he loses it! (which is also quite gross)

@ Tur - Yep. :-) I'm feeling in a Pirates mood myself, and as I'm making so many avatars, I need to make some banners as well. You should probably PM your requests to me, so we don't clog up the thread. :D

That whole scene with the multiple Jacks was so funny.

"My peanut"

I think it spoilt it later on with the "good" and "bad" Jack on his shoulder. Didn't see the need for them really.

Turwaithiel, if you have several banners that you want, I could make you one or two also. (if JF doesn't mind, that is :P)

I forgot one of the other best parts - near the end, when Barbossa is baby-talking to Jack, his monkey  And when he opens up the chart to the Fountain of Youth, and we see that Jack's already cut them out for himself :P

^ lol, I love that part also...

Would you? That would be awesome. I just pmed my ideas to JF, but if you'd like to make any with Will and Elizabeth, be my guest! (you see, i can't make banners myself, or else I already would have made thousands....:P)

:P Sorry about that. I editted it so it wouldn't streatch the page.

I just felt like he was less in this one for some reason. I don't know. Either way, the more Jack the better for me.

Yessss. It will be the best wedding ever.

Everyone wanted Elizabeth. From the top: Weird guy who was one of Sao's men, Sao, Ragetti and Pintel (thought mainly they just liked looking up her dress), Norrington, Jack, Will. There may be more. It just bothered me.

No. She was rather scantily clad in that scene. And I didn't like it. I found it awkward rathr than romantic.

Oh good. I just found it a tad... feminine I think.

Additional comments:

I thought Keith Richards did well as Captain Jack's father.[Forgive me for having no idea how to spell his first name. Teeg maybe?] But I hated his makeup. It looked odd.

I did not like how Bootstrap Bill went all crazy and then killed Norrington. No. Bad. I actually liked the developign relationship between Will and Bootstrap in DMC, and that whole thing pretty much got killed with this movie until the very end.

The multiple Jacks thing was so confusing for me at first, though hilarious. The one in love with the goat creeped me out though I will admit. I did not care for the two Jack's on his shoulder. They got a bit annoying after awhile.

There were no eunic jokes. :( I missed those.

Before I was thinking that I did not want another sequel because I didn't want them to draw it out for so long that it would lose something. But now I'm chomping at the bit for a sequel. I want Elizabeht to be able to end up with Will properly. And I suppose this fountain of youth thing sounds interesting. I hope they decide to do it. Either way, I would have gone to see another one.

This whole thing has set me on a craze. I think I need to watch DMC again. I already know COTBP by heart, frontwards, backwards and in my sleep, but I've only seen DMC three times. I think it's time to watch it again. I wanted to do that before I wenty to see AWE, but there wasn't time. :(

I'm sorry, it just was funny, Starlight. Yes, I miss them too.
