I don't even understand why they do those...I mean, I do, but it's stupid. I think I read the first page of one just out of curiosity once, and I was like "Um...O-KAY then..." and then I set it back on the shelf really quickly and glanced around to make sure no one saw. :-D

potr, WOW. That's amazing that you can tell who they are!

^ Well, they were mostly written to tell young children the story, though I'm sure DD isn't the only person who added it to their William collection! And now if she has children, they can be introduced to PotC as early as possible. ;)

I agree and admit it can become a little obsessive... I just comfort myself by saying "at least I don't collect everything with Jack Sparrow on it" then I'd really be in trouble! His stuff is absolutely everywhere!

And, you know, I have fun buying and collecting the Will & PotC stuff at least.... although it is a little embarrassing when you go in the Disney Store and there's a bunch of little kids everywhere swarming all over the Pirate stuff and then there's you... but to get something with Will on it I would go through almost anything. :-D and there are some things I wouldn't buy even with PotC on it (like the young Jack Sparrow series)... but I still like finding the stuff.

My mom pretty much summed it up. I have a PotC radar. Anything with even a remote PotC logo or anything immediately draws my eye.

And, yeah, I've seen the pillows at the Disney Store (if that's what you were referring to Johnny's Fan). they had several of Jack left and one of Will. I considered it but... I still do have some restraint. ;) And I understand, Drew, it's horrid to be dirt poor... especially when you have a brother with money. :annoyed2:

Wow, PotR! That's amazing! I would've never gotten it, at least  ;) but when I compare them it makes total sense.

OK, i went on a Jack buying spree a few months ago, I have the wonderful fuzzy blanket with Jack on it, and one of the pillocases, and a coule pins and the posters and a bracelet and one of those notebooks. Because Jack is just so much better than Will, and his stuff is way more available anyways. I just haven't gotten around to Claire's lately so...

I agree, it is kind of embarassing to go to the PotC section in Claire's and there are all these little kids swarming around. And since most of the necklace's and earring etc. are in a locked display case, you have to go and ask one of the people working there to open it up, and sometimes their the same age as me, so it's a little akward.

It's strange, at my nearest Claire's everyone seems to avoid the PotC section, and I spend all my time wishing I could afford the things there...

Anie Surion, I do the whole looking around to see if anyone is watching before I pick up Pirates of the Caribbean related things sometimes too! However there are times when I just can not wait that long though to pick up whatever item of Pirates of the Caribbean merchandise it is though. lol

Taurquende, Oh very good point! If and when I have kids the very first book that I teach them to read will have to be the Force of Will. :-D Now that is also good idea because if and when I have a son I want to name him William...he might as well be able to read about his name sake.

PD, Oh very good point! Really how in middle Earth could you buy all of the Jack related things? They are everywhere. It is like you walk into the store door and you are inmetately attacked by all things Jack! I really like Jack but...Will needs more stuff too!
Oh, I know exactly what you mean! Only instead of a brother (my brother never has any money. lol) who has money, it is a sister. :annoyed2:
I understand that too. Whenever I go to the store if my mum sees something with Pirates of the Caribbean on it she will point to it and yell, "Look, Destiny! Pirates of the Caribbean!". Then I want to die of embarrassment. She even yells that if it is just a poster hanging from the ceiling or something animated (I do not care for the animated Pirates of the Caribbean stuff as much as I do the non animated things). She even bought the Pirates of the Caribbean sun screen for the family because she knows how much I love Pirates of the Caribbean. It was so embarrassing though because we were standing in the middle of the store and there were several other shoppers standing there and my mum yelled, "Look Destiny! Pirates of the Caribbean sun screen! Maybe we should get that one? Do you want to get that one? It even has the logo on it." :duh: The sad part is though that I did want it and that once it runs out of sun screen it will go up on display in my room. :-D
Dark Queen of Angmar, Wow that is alot of stuff. Do you put all of that up on display as well? Well I think that Will is better but I supose that we just have differing opinions.
Bow_and_Arrow, Why do they avoid the Pirates of the Caribbean section?

yeah most of it is... i do use the blanket and he pillowcase though.

I try to stay away from the action figures, action figures never look exactly like the characters... and the faces just aren't captured correctly...

I think that having PotC lip gloss is a little much, it's weird, and the names are like... Pirate's Papaya lip gloss or something, its more than a little cheesy...

Dark Queen of Angmar, Oh that is cool. Does your pillow and blanket have Jack (or another character on them) or is it just the logo?
Oh I love the action figures! I have two Will action figures (if you count the lego action figure as an action figure). :-D I will agree that the faces are by means perfect though. I think that it is the eyes. The figures just can not catch that glimer or depth that (most) real people have in their eyes.
They make lip gloss too? :surprise: Ooh I must have it! Dude, my store does not get much of the Pirates of the Caribbean merchandise. :annoyed2: Now I shall have to look for the lip gloss. Thanks for letting me know, sis! :)

Ooo are we talking about our Pirates stuff?

I've got two action figures of Norrie, both DMC and one's made by zizzle and the other's made by Necca. I have three Jack Saprrow t-shirts, one from COTBP, another from DMC, and the other is from AWE, and I have a DMC poster t-shirt. And I have a red AWE poster that I bought from Thiland.... I think that's it 0_o.

 Drew, I've seen that sunscreen at Wal-Mart and it is pretty cool... I see they also carry soap and bubble bath and all sorts of bathroom things now. It'd all be way better if it had Will on it though ;)

thankfully my mom isn't that bad when it comes to PotC stuff... I actually think she tries to avoid the PotC stuff as much as possible when she's with me  not sure though...

Oh, the animated Pirate things... I don't really care for those either. Some of them are cute but I'd rather have something with the actual characters on it.

Dark, Queen of Angmar, I've seen quite a few Jack blankets around... and I always look and look for a Will one but they never have any... :annoyed2: I have seen a Will pillowcase at Claire's though. I've seen the lipgloss too! And Claire's had some PotC bubble gum for a while... it was soooo cool... but I didn't have enough money to get it. :annoyed2:

I'm happy you brought the Zizzle action figures up, Banana_Republic, because well... those are some things that are really fun to collect. I have five Wills ( :-D ), two of Jack, two for Norrie, one for Jones, one for Elizabeth, one Barbossa, one Jack the Monkey, one Marty, one Sao Feng... and I think that might be all... my brother completes the collection with pretty much everything I don't have (and then some)... and I actually don't think they look that bad... especially one of my Wills.

Has anyone seen the Will and Jack flipflops at the Disney Store? I saw the Will ones and got them on the spot! :-D or the Will and Jack beach towel? and then our Meijer had AWE tin popcorn buckets... didn't want the popcorn but for Will.... well, it makes a good trashcan in my room now. :)

And BarnsnNoble has some good things too. They have bookmarks! Bookmarks with only Will on them! :-D and then some of all three and some of just Jack... not to mention they have books, visual guides, puzzles, calanders and all sorts of things!

And anyone got any of the PotC board games? The DMC Life (I've seen there's one for AWE now too) is way better then normal Life!

You know what's funny? I actually think the animated Jack is kind of attractive, or at least cool looking, though I don't feel that way about Johnny. Yet I hate the animated Will cause they made him LOOK like a whelp. No offense to Will!

They make POTC Life games? That's awesome! I've never seen it! Where'd you get yours?

And I forgot to mention that I have a Will bookmark from B&N that I conned my dad into buying for me, and 6-inch tall action figures of Will and Elizabeth from Big Lots. :-D (My Will one is nice-looking but Lizzie doesn't look much like Keira...oh well...)

Banana Republic, Yep that is most certainly what we are talking about. :-D Ooh that is very cool. You have two Norrington action figures!? I only have one and it is a lego version. They just don't make enough stuff for Norrington and that makes it so hard to find. :( It's the exact same problem with Elizabeth, Barbossa, Beckett, Will up to a point, etc stuff. I am glad that you have two Norrington action figures though. :-D (high fives Banana Republic)

PD, Yes they have all kinds of bath supplies now. :-D They even have tooth brushes. I looked though and (as for at least at my local stores) they do not sell a tooth brush with Will on it. :( Oh and I agree that it would be better if it had Will on it  . I read somewhere though that Johnny Depp had put his foot down at personal hygine (spelling?) products and well... I would consider bath supplies as personal hygine products, so that may be why none of the actors/actresses pictures are on those products.
I agree. Some of the animated versions are cute... It is just that the actors themselves are cuter then the animated versions (in my opinion). lol :-D
They make flip flops with Will on them? Eek something else to add to my "I want" list! (writes that down on a notebook). I have yet to see the beach towel either. However I have never looked for that either. I will have to go through the towel section of the stores the next time that I go shopping. :-D Thanks for letting us know! :)
I have seen the PotC life board game as well. Ooh and the Liar's dice. Sadly though I own neither of them. I never have the money to buy them. Plus I never really "got" Liar's dice. I even looked it up on Wikipedia, read the rules three times, and I still do not understand how it is played. Do you actualy own the PotC Life game? Have they changed the object of the game? If they have changed the object of the game, what is the object of the game now? Can you still get married, (like in the orginal)?

Hmm, I wonder why you want to know that! ;)

I'm actually glad to hear Johnny Depp said no to personal hygiene products! If I were an actress, I would think I'd be kind of creepy to see people buying a sponge or something just because my face is on it!

You guys are lucky your parents sort of support it! If I even look at some collectable merchandise my mom will say "Put it back!" and if I protest, she'll start on about how I don't need it, and how it's overpriced, and on and on and on... it's pretty annoying. :annoyed: So, that's another reason why I can't collect stuff! :( But I'm content hearing about what you all have collected! :D

Oh, I know! My theater's down to one time at 9:45 pm, and only on weekends! I still want to see it! :'(

Yey!! *high fives back* I got them both from ebay. I only need to get the AWE one. I don't really like the way it looks but it's Norrie none the less.

They are supposed to bring out a Beckett action figure this fall. I really hope they do. I <3 Beckett lol.
