It doesn't come out here until tomorrow night. Sooooooo looooooong to waiiiiiit....
I thought I was going to go see it at midnight, but my friend didn't order tickets early enough, so one of the theaters is sold out. (S'what happens on a college campus.) I hope he finds another one, cause I really don't want to wait until next week.

I really would have loved such a premiere, except that the theater would be crammed with laughing, talking and loud-popcorn-eating and rustling-candy-bags people.
Do you think I'm frustrated with those people? Yes I am! They destroyed my Pride and Prejudice theater experience, so therefore I will only go to the cinema at times when there will be little crows.

Everyone, I am SO excited for this. Seriously, less than 24 hours to go for me. I've got my Luna costume all ready to go, and I can hardly believe that we're already here!
By the way, did anyone hear about the 36 minutes of the beginning of the movie that were apparently stolen and put up online? It's probably all take down by now, but still . . . frustrating anyone? :/

So I was in NYC the day before the Premiere, I left NYC on Sunday and the premiere was Monday... if only I didn't have school
I am planning to take some friends to go to the premiere of part 2 if it ends up in NYC.... it would be an epic road trip.
I had a ton of fun at the Quidditch World Cup! Got to see Ludo Bagman (creator of the Muggle QWC) and some other fun characters. Pictures are up on facebook
Anywho, I am going to see it tomorrow at midnight. I am totally stoked, watching a marathon of HP tomorrow in preparation. I just bought the finishing touches of my outfit today, HP's wand (since they didn't have Hermione's) and the RAB locket necklace <3

Just got back from HPDHp1 and I just have to let this out...
 Squuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
eeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhssssssoooo
ooooooooooooogggggooooooooooooooddddddddddd <3 <3 <3
Alright, now that that is over I will give my comments.
----- SPOILER --------
Don't
Look
Below
go....
I cried within the first minutes of the movie, I knew then that this film was going to be intense... and it was. It exceeded all my expectations for the film.
I haven't read book 7 since last year and so I don't remember the finer details, but from what I do remember the movie follows the book quite closely...
Like Ea I feared that the movie would draw on and on... it didn't. A lot of the movie was moving from place to place on a campingesque excursion, but it really wasn't. Each scene had something important unfolding and I was drawn in even though it may have seemed to drag on to others.
I especially liked the scene when Ron comes back, I wasn't sure what to expect with the locket, but what they did was astounding.
This scene also aggravated me as well, only because of the people around me. This really was an intense heartwrenching scene, but all that people were focused on was the nudity of Hermione and Harry... I was on the verge of tears while everyone else was laughing... it wasn't funny. /rant
Anyways, I loved the torture scene, Hermione's screams chilled me and the word mudblood also broke my heart. This only instills my hatred for Bellatrix even more...
My head is swimming now with all the scenes and I could go on and on about each one in its entirety, like the scene where Hermione is telling the story of the three brothers.
The effects of that was awesome and graphic, I was quite pleased with the how they did that.
Though, as I was saying I could continue this post for a while, but I'd like to hear what others thought about the movie.
Last note, Dobby/Hedwig's deaths had me in tears. "I'm with my friend...." aaaaaahhhh
P.S. Snape at the beginning <3 smexy potions master...
Okay, now I am for a sleepless night, please see this movie asap so I can have people to talk to
<3 Panda

I'm glad you liked it Pannie! As far as I've heard, I only heard postive reactions on the movie, so I can't wait to see it myself. Only 27 more hours and I'll see it, and it would be great to discuss it with you!!

^I thought you said you wouldn't post here before you had seen it, Will.
I haven't been able to do anything today!! Believe me I did try but I happened to read one review of the movie this morning and then I was hooked... I'm so squeeey inside and I'm SOOOOO excited to see it! The only downside is that I know I'll want more when I've seen part I... we want part II NOOOOW!!!!!
Other things is that Snape doesn't get much screen time in part I...

^ I couldn't keep myself from it.. But I didn't take a peek at Pan's spoilers..
I'm really excited as well, especially since I found out that it's a three hour movie!

Really? I read that it would be 147 minutes... so not three full hours.
I'll some back here and discuss it with you soon... In exactly 49,5 hours I'll be on the edge of my seat at the theatre watching the opening credits!

Well, Part I is a little over 2 hours. I don't know how long Part II is supposed to be.
It was an excellent movie though. Not epic, because all the epic stuff happens in Part II, but a really great beginner.
SPOILERS
DON'T READ
READY?
Okay, so to start off I'm going to inform you that I like Harry/Hermione, not Hermione/Ron. And the H/Hr scenes were so fantastic. SQUEE! The dance scene was freaking adorable. And the chemistry they have is just wonderful and GODRIC'S HOLLOW was so beautiful! Guh! In contrast, Ginny's "zip up my dress?" scene was just so awkward. SO awkward. There is nothing there.
I am going to cry so much at Fred's death. I was upset just by Fred going to George after his ear gets cursed. HOW am I going to handle George mourning Fred? BECAUSE THERE HAD BETTER BE MOURNING, WRITERS. THERE HAD BETTER BE.
And pretty much agreeing with Panneth for a lot of it. The Three Brothers was just so beautifully well done. I loved the style of it. Bellatrix was crazy again and I wanted to punch her, especially with the torture/Mudblood bit. And the camping trip wasn't drug out - each scene had some reveal bit to it.
Hermione wiping her parents memories....that was so heartbreakingly done.
I'm also really glad they aren't having Harry go through all the angst about Dumbledore. Or at least they aren't yet. That part of the book annoyed me, so it's nice to not have him focusing on that the whole time.

I was about to cry just from reading about those scenes.
I'm SO DH-sensitive these days!

That's strange.. I looked it up on IMDB and there it says that it's 146 minutes, but on the site of the local cinema, it says it will be 177 minutes..
Probably a typo.. Too bad though..

The movie is only about 2 1/2 hours long.
SPOILERS
at
Nurr
-----
Agreed, those Ginny scenes were almost painful to watch. I just realized how much skin was in this movie
I loved the 7 Potter's part, "Don't look at me, I'm ugly" <3
I think the next movie is going to be the hardest. Like you, Nurr, I could barely stand watching George and Fred talking about the holiness, although the toothbrush bit in the ear was hilarious
I cried when Hermione oblivated her parents, watching all the images of Hermione being wiped away was so sad.
We still haven't gotten much of Dumbledore's past yet, so the angst could always be in the next part. Which brings me to my next question....
How are they going to fit everything into the second part, there is still so much left. The rest of the Horcruxes, Dumbledore's past, Snape's past, Battle of Hogwarts, King's Cross.... I assume it is going to be incredibly fast paced compared to this first part, I would just hate for them to miss anything.
Why can't it be July!!
