Harry being the Goblin happened in the comic as well. He was always trying to please his father and be the son he wanted him to be. After finding his fathers Goblin stash, he must go through a similar madness.
However..and take this with a grain of salt...Harry helps Spider-Man defeat Sandman towards the end of the movie.
Not sure how Venom fits into the whole thing yet.

Gee wiz...I actually like Batman better then Spiderman but seeing the third movie's preview today when I went to see Superman (all these Superhereo's, lol!) it spiked my intrest.
I really didn't like the first two movies a whole lot but they were still pretty good.

That's the reason Spider-Man 3 will be so excellent, is the darker elements explored within Peter. The Black costume, Venom. It's gonna be mindblowing.

I saw the commericial for it when I went to see Superman Returns. And that was the highlight of my time. OMG it's got me so excited about the movie I can't wait for it to come. I also just saw some spoilers and they left me in shock.
