You said it exactly the way I would've, Darky! What I can't stand is the people who say Sam and Frodo are gay, even though Sam got married and had 13 kids. Doesn't sound gay to me. And with POTC, we know that Will, Elizabeth, Davy, and James are straight, anyway. (I can't speak for Jack, however... )

And I got napkins for my birthday party with jack on them... but thats a different subject... I've never really REALLY liked the action figures, they just cant capture the faces of the characters as well as I would like. I have a Frodo and a Gollum one, and they just dont look real enough for me. But I have seen the Davy one, and it looks decent. oh, I think I know what puzzle you're talking about... and I think I've finally figured out why I like buying things with more than just one character on them... because it's different if it has the whole cast on it, it's something kind of rare and there's a better chance it'll have a character who's more rare than the others on it... (although I do have enough things that have only Will on them ) Well, it really depends on what action figures you're talking about, Darky. The Disney Store ones = (IMO) especially the Will and Lizabeth ones... but Neca makes absolutely beautiful action figures that look almost just like them (you should see the Elizabeth one... or the Barbossa one even! they look JUST like them almost! The Norrie one I have isn't bad either). And Zizzle makes some that aren't too bad... The DMC Norrington is amazing... the Jacks aren't half bad either.... Taurquende wrote: Oh good! I love the drama/romance/adventure/actions/bittersweetness just as you said. However having the comedy in there to even it out is a Great thing. (nods)

I don't know of anyone (yet) even in RL who can hold a straight face during that scene... although most of my family hasn't even seen it yet.
PotC has it all, doesn't it? It has everything you want out of a great movie. and it's got something for everyone.

Well, I have a plain white notebook with a clear slipcover that will get some attention shortly...
Close enough (Gibbs and Jack actually). They're talking about the "drawring" of a key Jack's brought in the beginning of DMC. Oh, good, at least one of us thinks so.
I looked it up - they didn't write many sequels, not for Shrek and Aladdin anyway. I guess I was right. (They also did the story for National Treasure 2, which makes me excited. )
But there are some, at least. You were?! That's awesome! Great/obsessed minds think alike, eh?
Right, sorry, I forgot. My bad.

really? Awesome! I have an empty three-ring binder (or rather "did have" ) too... 'til this afternoon when (in my free time) I spiced it up a bit. I got Elizabeth's speech quote (the full, real thing (after listening to it on YouTube)) and I got a whole bunch of Lizabeth, William, James, Jack, Barbossa, Becky ect. pictures and decorated it and made it very nice on the computer with that speech on it... so now everyday I get to look at it. and by the end of the school year I'll have that speech memorized by heart.
yeah, I knew they were talking about that... just couldn't remember what came next. (give me some slack... it's been like 2 to 3 weeks since I've seen DMC )
it didn't seem like they wrote the Shrek sequels... maybe that's why I like the original Shrek a whole lot better than these other two... (really? they did! SQEEEE! that's awesomeness! I really can't wait to see NT2 now!)
I guess they do.
no biggy... Becky didn't catch it
Ok, now here's a question for everyone. Feel free to voice your opinions on this. I have a big animated banner(s) in the works (of me mind ) and I want your guys' help. I already have almost all the pictures picked out.... they're going to have one character from PotC in each one and one word by or below his/her name to describe something about them... is this making sense... .... anyway, here's what I've come up with:
Will Turner - Destiny *
Elizabeth Swann - Courage **
Jack Sparrow - Wit *
Captain Barbossa - Skill
Lord Beckett - power
James Norrington - hero **
** = like a lot
* = sort of like
zero * = not too sure 'bout it
and then I haven't even considered Davy or Pintel and Ragetti....
so you guys got any good opinions on what it should say by any of these 8 (Pinny and Rags would go together ) characters?

Oo, good idea PD! Hmm... okay...
Will - I like Destiny, but to me Will will always represent Honor
Elizabeth - Courage or Determination
Jack - Wit or Freedom
Barbossa - Devious and Sly are the first words that come to mind.
Beckett - Power is nice, or Aristocrat maybe?
Norrington - Hero... so true!
Davy - Destiny could work for him, too. Betrayed, or Alone.
P & R - Rebellious is all I can think of.

Ooh, awesome! Thanks for the idea! I hadn't even considered putting quotes on there...
Well, we'll forgive you since school's started again. (They're attempting to replace all the lovely Pirate information we collected in our brains over the summer with icky boring stuff! )
See? It all makes sense! (though the third Aladdin movie was good, but John Rhys-Davies was in it so I may just be biased ) (I know, neither can I! Woot! )
Oh good. I wouldn't want Uncle Cutler any more ticked off at me than he already is... (because of Rags, I mean )
That's a great idea! Hm, let's see...
Will Turner: Either Destiny or Honor, like Taur said. Or else, Loyalty or Faithfulness, maybe.
Elizabeth Swann: Courage is good. Or else Spirit - she definitely has that!
Jack Sparrow: Clever or perhaps Freedom
Hector Barbossa: Sly, Tricksy (if you'll permit that )
Cutler Beckett: Power, tha'ts probably the best one.
James Norrington: Hero. You've got that one.
Davy Jones: Corrupted? I dunno...that's probably not very good. Flawed is also coming to mind, but that's not much of a compliment.
Pintel & Ragetti: Teamwork! or else Friendship.

Will: Courage sounds good.... destiny, because of what T/C said about him.
Elizabeth: Fauthfulness comes to mind quite a bit. Sprit sounds good as well.
Jack: Intelligence, creative, witty, sly, outgoing, free(dom), pirate.
Barbossa: Intelligence as well, devious, creative.
Cutler: Cruel, ruthless, powerful, aristocratic.
James: Hero. For sure. Honourable.
Davy: Destiny, betrayed, alone, intelligent, bound(kind of....).
P & R: Friendship, co-operation..
Good idea.
