He's supposed to be a lot better in this one. I agree, in the beginning of the movie, he's way too stiff. But that's the effect they were going for, because Verbinski said that he kept having to remind Orlando that he "wasn't cool yet". According to and Orlando interview, we're gonna be seeing a "darker side" to Will in the sequels.

Darker side to Will?

Well........actually I got more annoyed with Will as the movie went along...The fact tat he kept abandoning Jack and he's like "I got Elizabeth, I'm gonna bolt!" I thought that was just bah!

Well, in his defence, he thought Jack had betrayed him first.

Hey Pirateoftherings, don't feel bad about the IMBD board, because let's just say, this pirate is in the same boat with you! Consider me also named a Jesus Freak. :pirate:

lol yay Jesus Freaks! :D I really don't mind it all that much. It just bugs me a bit that the "Ringer for Christ" logo in my sig has me automatically labelled a religious fanatic. Although I have had some fun refuting some of their claims, like a board they had going called "If other POTC fans were POTC fans" (meaning Passion of the Christ fans liking Pirates of the Caribbean). They were having a wonderful time til I went in there and pointed out that I am one. They shut up pretty fast ;)

I don't like IMDB boards anymore....
well anyway ever consider Will Turner's darker side because of his father?

Hm....I don't know if you would consider this a spoiler...but...here's a warning! SPOILER!!!!

Actually I think if you'll just pay close attention to the website you'll notice that Bootstrap Bill is also a phantom. I was bored...and started to play and mess around with the treasure box and the vodoo doll of Johnny.

Lol actually, I really like Norrington. It really bugs me when people portray him as a stiff-necked jerk who's too old for Elizabeth. In those times, it would have been perfectly natural for him to court Elizabeth. In fact, Will probably would have seemed a bit young for her. Yes, Norrie has a thing against pirates, but he's also a very gracious man. In the end, he lets Jack go and gives the love of his life (Elizabeth) over to a man who loves her even more. My favorite scene with him was deleted from the final film, but is on the Special Features part of the DVD. It's right after Elizabeth says she will marry him.

Norrington: "I am...very glad that you have accepted my proposal, but...is it so much to ask for it unconditionally?"
Elizabeth: "It was not a a condition; it was a request. Your answer would not have changed mine...You are a...fine man, James."
Norrington: *clears throat* "Very good, then, or rather...excellent."

It shows his more tender side, and that he really does care for Elizabeth. I really look forward to his role in the sequels.

I think he's very tenderhearted, and I would much like him rather than Will....personally anyways.

lol well you said phantom, and I assumed you meant something with the site. I'm guessing you were actually referring to Davey Jones' unead crew?
