Okay, I just finished watching American idol and... it had Jon Bon Jovi on it! (squee...happy dance...bouncy wouncy) I love all of the Bon Jovi music. Eek! (cough) Yes um anyway...I loved watching the contestants singing the Bon Jovi music on tonight's episode. Phill isn't my very favorite out of the possable American idols over all but I must admit that he very well may have done the very best not just out of the group tonight...but out of all of the contestants to ever be on American idol that I have ever seen (I have watched all of the American idol seasons except for the first one and last year's). He just really blew it out of the water. It was flat out amazing...best preformance on American idol Ever! Then I would have to say Blake. Now the song he sang (You Give Love A Bad Name) is like my favotire song of Bon Jovi's so I didn't know that I would like Blake changing it up a bit but I really loved it. I feel that he did a very good job. Um, Chris did okay but not really anything just extrordinary for him. Um Lakisha did better than she did last week and did stay in tune, so she did allright I supose. I really like Jordon most of the time but this week I think that she Really struggled with that song. I also think that that may send her home. That song (Livin' on a Prayer) is one of the most well known and beloved Bon Jovi songs and I think that she really struggled with it. (shakes head and sighs) Then Melinda...I don't think that she hit one key right this week. I have that song on cd and I really like it...and when compared to it...I don't think that she hit one key. So if I was picking I would have to say that Melinda and sad to say it but maybe Jordon should go home, if we were just going to vote based on Tonight's episode. If we were going to vote on all of the preformances from them thus far though I would still send Melinda and Lakisha home. Sorry. Just my opinion though. What do the rest of you think of tonight's preformances?

okay, I am *so* reviving this thread...I love American Idol! I'm a sucker for talent searches and especially singing ones since I love to sing. I think it's great when they find real, talented and unique singers. Anyone following this season? The first episode aired last night.

^ That always happens in the UK talent shows, but I still watch it for the bad auditions and for the good singers I like.
I've never actually followed through with the AI singers once they get to the final stages. I'm not that interested in singers from another country battling it out to win.

I want Brooke White or David Cook to win this year. Carly Smithson is awesome too.

David Cook is the one that I love this year. Maybe not as much as Blake last year, but David is more talented.

David Cook is amazing and by far the best person on Idol since Chris Daughtry.

I agree. I actually like his voice better than Chris Daughtry, though Chris was more...I don't know, original?

Wait ... there is no Michael Johns loving going on around here? I'm shocked.
Michael Johns is deinfitely my favorite contestant, for his mature, raw voice, and song choices. Though admittedly, David Cook is pretty amazing too.

Haha, I pretty much love all of the guys this season. My top three guys are David Cook, Michael Johns, and David Archuleta.
Michael Johns has a super cute accent, too.

I'm shocked Michael Johns got the boot. He wasn't my favorite, but he definitely wasn't the worst. He should have stayed longer then Syesha, Jason, and Kristy.
And Ryan's whole "Last year on Idol Gives Back we didn't eliminate anyone but this year...*pause*...Were saying bye to Michael John's" thing was Really uncalled for. To get Michael and his fans' hopes up like that was a bit cruel, knowing that he wasn't going to get to stay. They probably did it for ratings though...

Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!
He wasn't even in the bottom three for goodness sake!! I want my Aussie back! Stupid voters...
And Kristy Lee Cook is driving me bonkers. What an arrogant loser. Dedicating a song to herself... good grief...

Oh, I TOTALLY agree. That was completely messed up. I started yelling, actually.
And the fact that Michael was voted off before KRISTY? Seriously? Are you out of your mind, America?

Idol Gives Back was about hope and such, right? So why would they give a Contestant and his large fanbase hope, then crush it in 15 seconds? It was just flat out wrong. It totally ruined the spirit of the week...Whether Ryan was told to say it or not, he shouldn't have.
Kristy definitely should have went before Michael. She did pretty good this week, but overall, Michael Johns is just better. I want her, Syesha, and Jason to be the next three to go.
