For those talking about it above, Heath did not commit suicide. You've probably heard about it by now, but it was an accidential overdose of prescription drugs. Any news article will give you the info.

I still can't wait to see this film. The producers have said they will make some kind of respect to Heath, which is comforting in a way. I remember seeing the trailer not too long back and being incredibly impressed with Heath as The Joker... I still am and think he will be incredible, if the trailer is anything to go by. I picked up a film magazine today that had a post of The Joker in it, now I need to find somewhere to put it! But yeah, I reckon it's gonna be a massive hit this summer - even more so now that Heath has passed away.

I think that I'm probably looking forward to this movie more than I've looked forward to any other movie since RotK. The Dark Knight is going to be awesome. :D

And even if it somehow isn't, its soundtrack will be. The last song is over sixteen minutes long!!!!! O_O :D

I'm so excited for July 18th! I squeed so loud when I heard they were making a movie! It's going to be even better considering there's a lot of actors/actresses I adore! Maggie Gyllenhaal, Morgan Freeman, Heath Ledger..

Squee!

I like the portrayal of Joker by Heath Ledger, that is probably one of the best acting I have seen in recent years judging by the trailers. With Chris Nolan back on board, He made the darkest Batman movie as compared to other movies of Batman. I like the way now Harvey Dent is portrayed too. I have a feeling that this man will act opposed to whatever he said in the movie. Double sided justice

I'm really glad someone mentioned Harvey. He seems to have been forgotten amidst all the sadness and hype for Heath.
I'm very much looking forward to seeing how Aaron Eckhart portrays Harvey.

Harvey may not be vital as much as Heath's Joker since the movie seems to be marketed through Heath's Joker so the producers unwillingly -maybe willingly- seems to have Harvey left out of the marketing. Therefore, I have high hopes that Harvey's significance will be understood after the movie is released.

In some ways I'm looking forward to Harvey as much as I am to the Joker. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Batman in his new suit. That should be interesting...:D

The promotional material is very much focussed on Heath and his performance of Joker and I can't really disagree with them as I feel it's another form of honouring him and his hard work on the movie.

I am really excited to see Aaron's performance as much as I am Heath's. It's rare to find anyone even mention Aaron though, which I feel is quite sad as his role will be integral.

Ooooh, I am really looking forward to this. :boing: As long as it's worthy of being called a sequel to Batman Begins, I'll be happy. I hope the Scarecrow does make a small reappearance, he was just so great in BB. :D And as for the new characters, I can't wait to see what they're like.

And I am eternally thankful Katie Holmes has been replaced. *party*

Heh, I just wish she hadn't played Rachel in Batman Begins either--I hate it when actors/actresses are switched in the middle of a series. And I don't especially like Maggie Gyllenhaal, either. Still, at least it's not Katie Holmes.

Yeah, the material is mostly focused on the Joker, which is partly what makes me so curious about Harvey--we see a clip of the event in which his face gets acid-burned (it's in the more recent trailer!) but that's about it. I'm really looking forward to seeing how that all plays out.

And what's really got my interest piqued is the scene of Gordan smashing the Bat Signal. O_O I'm wondering what's behind that, since I'm very certain it's not what it appears on the surface.

If she hadn't have been in BB, it would have been one of the most perfectly cast films in cinema history. EVERYONE was just perfect... except her.... I don't know this new actress (although my brother doesn't like her, which is neither a good or bad opinion of whether she is good or not) but I'm hoping she can't be any worse.

That's partly why I'm so interested in Harvey too, because of the Joker-heavy promotion. I can't blame them for doing it and he is the main villain of the piece so it makes perfect sense anyway.

I just see pics and clips of Aaron and I get just as mesmerised as I do with Heath.

I'll join in with the bye bye Katie Holmes

:bye2: :bye2: :bye2:

Lol, agreed. Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes rivals Kirsten Dunst as MJ or Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane. >_<

However, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freemon, Gary Oldman, and especially Christian Bale were perfectly cast. ^_^

^^

She just never seemed right for the role to me.

Is Two-Face actually going to be one of the villains in this film? Or is this the film we see how Harvey becomes Two-Face and therefore a future villain?

Two-face becomes a vigilante in this role. So he's like a homicidal vigilante, which means that he comes into conflict with Batman, but he doesn't kill innocents. At least, not according to Eckhart. That statement has me looking forward to Harvey more than ever. A villain with morals. How awesome can things get!?!?! I mean, they don't get much better than Batman, but...:P

Gah Bosworth as Lois Lane..tried to erase that horror from my memory
Must.Gouge.Out.

Not 100% sure, but I think it's more how he becomes Two-Face. One thing I'm curious about is if a certain Dr Quinzell makes a cameo appearance like I'd heard rumours of. It's not make or break the movie, but I think it'd be awesome for her to have a scene with Joker and then start of her obsession from there....and I'm rambling. Where did I put that spoon?

**edit**

Thanks for the clarification Aerandir.
