Barbossa is the most awesome POTC character! He's like.. the only real pirate! He talks arrrr-ish.. he looks like one.. he has the big hat! Barbossa rocks!=D
Oh and I just watched I, Robot. Again. I like the movie. Especially the part when Will Smith sneezes really loud and then says: "I'm sorry, I'm allergic to *beep*"
Hihi

Bill and Ted's excellent adventure
I've seen it before, but it's sooooo good! It's very funny! When I saw it for the first time I couldn't stop laughing, because I know Keanu Reeves from the Matrix. And in the Matrix he never laughes and he's very cool and smart. And in this movie he's a very dumb and funny guy.
Excellent!

RioWith the man friend. It was adorable, not quite the same energy and awesome that HTTYD had, but it was sweet nonetheless. We were the ONLY people in the theatre, so I stretched out over two chairs and it was nice. And Jessie Esienberg was fabulous as Blu. AtlantisJust for old times sake. Despicable Me

I've been seeing some new films lately, ones I have been wanting to see for a while so it has been a good week. THANK YOU LOVEFILM!
Giant
So with the death of Elizabeth Taylor ( ) I wanted to see more of her films and this was the first one I chose as I like her a lot and also Rock Hudson. Bad news is, it had James Dean in it, who admittedly I had never seen before, but from the tiny bits I had seen, he looked bad to me. Anyway, GREAT film, kinda a western but also sort of not. Rock Hudson was brilliant in it (usually I've seen him in lighter roles so something with more depth really showed his talent). Elizabeth Taylor was brilliant as well, and proves you can be beautiful and be able to act. Now we come to DUH DUH DUH... James Dean.... when I first saw Marlon Brando I thought this guy is no way near as good as people say he is... totally over-rated.... when I saw JD I thought the same thing... but my god, I HATED him!! Seriously, he was in it for maybe 35 minutes and I couldn't wait for the seconds to tick down. I cannot understand how people think he's like God in this film. As long as I live I'll never understand the appeal.
Cat On A Hot Tin Roof
Is there a more stunning couple than Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor? Bright blue eyes meet bright violet? I'm generally not a fan of anything adpated from a Tennessee Williams play (where it's always hot and everyone sweats like billio and they sometimes have very, very old elements) but this one was actually very good and less rambling than some of the others. I loved seeing PN and ET together, and I know that they made it in colour to highlight their eyes, but the whole film looked stunning. BRING BACK TECHNICOLOR!
The Big Country
One of my favourite ever westerns. It has been so long since I have seen this, I enjoyed watching it again so much. One question: how did I miss all these years how handsome and sexy Charlton Heston was in this? I pretty much haven't stopped thinking about Mr. Steve Leech. And the music! Nevermind the Magnificent Seven, this is one of the best western themes EVER! Oh, and looking at Gregory Peck for 2 hours was pretty nice as well.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Went to see it with my mom, because we went to see the other three in theatres, we saw the normal version because I heard the 3D was VERY bad, and plus the tickets are super expensive.
SPOILERS:
You know, it just didn't do it for me. I loved 2 and 3, and they are some of my all time favourite movies, but this one just wasn't that good. I loved Blackbeard, and Queen Anne's Revenge (the whole sword deal was so cool...), but nothing will ever compare to the Kraken and the Flying Dutchman. Davy Jones is my favourite villain of all time, and his tragedy is what made him worth it. I still enjoyed Blackbeard, but the "zombiefied" thing? *beep*?
I dislike the change in Barbossa's character (without giving anything away), especially the leg, and then the ending... And it seemed like Johnny Depp just wasn't into Jack Sparrow anymore, I felt like his character was less somehow, I dunno. And the plot was terrible. I got so confused within the first few minutes. I think that since the movie started with the Spanish, they should have been in it more? Anyways, I got very confused as to people's motives and the like, and I rarely get confused during movies.
The Green Hornet
SO FUNNYY> OH MY GOD> I NEED THIS MOVIE. ASDFGHJKL.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides"The jury is still out on how I feel about it. I love Jack. And I love Ian McShane. Actually, every time he was on I kept thinking "Oh my god. It's Al Swearengen as a pirate. Minus the foul language." And I could watch those two and Barbossa and be completely content. But, I dunno. There was something ... lacking. SO yeah. Like I said, the jury is still out on that one for me. "Due Date"Not as funny as I thought it was going to be. But still pretty good. The last, 20 - 30 minutes or so, I was just in fits of laughter. I LOVE ROBERT DOWNEY JR. "The Fighter"SOOOOO GOOD. CHRISTIAN BALE. ACK. He was just sooo amazing. All of it was just fantastic.
