^Can't see James Franco as Anakin.
You can rant all you want about the comics, Phoenix. xD I'm just expressing my outsider views.
Aunt May (because I was introduced to Superman first) seemed so much like Mrs. Kent though. I love them both but y'know, the character/personality resemblance is uncanny.

I can't help myself. I'm such a nerd when it comes to the comics.

Well...I can totally see James Franco as Anakin. He resembles him I think.....and he has to be better than that oak table that tried to pass himself off as an "actor".
I was in WHSmith's today, and it looks like they re-releasing the super hero comics. They had a Spiderman one, which was issue number 2 and I was tempted to buy it, but I wasn't sure if it would contain the same stories as the orignal did. Do you have any idea Phoenix?

That's funny you should mention the James Franco-Anakin thing. My friend and I talked about how much he resembled him in theaters. I think they look very similar, for one.
Also...for all of you PotO lovers out there...when the left side of Harry's face was damaged my best friend whispers to me:
"Duuuun....dun dun dun dun duuuuuuun..."
(Which just happened to be the Phantom theme music.)
We were laughing so hard people were staring at us.

Sounds like it might be Marvel UK reprints. They've been doing them for years. It's a great way to read old stories.

I haven't seen it yet, and won't until I see PotC, but this smiley made me think of it.
behold, spidey smiley!

I've read reviews of other movies that Hayden Christenson was in, and apparently, he is fantastic in them. That doesn't make George Lucas look good, considering most of the actors/actresses in the prequel trilogy were considered good, and then turned out awful performances (except for Ewan McGregor and Ian McDiarmid). George Lucas just is an awful director.
But anyways, I saw Spiderman 3 yesterday, and it was cheesy. The fights were cool, but as a friend of mine pointed out, all of Peter's problems could have been solved with four steps.
1) Shut up
2) Listen
3) Shut up
4) Listen
It's hard to believe that someone could get that full of himself in so short a time.
Flint Marko was great, and portrayed very well, and I thought that Eddie Brock was, too, but Venom had way too little screentime. He is my favorite Spidey-villain/antihero. He rocks, and he was barely featured.
And then there's the problem of Harry--considering that he lost to Peter twice, and then how easily Venom got him at the end of the movie, how did he do so well against the Sandman and Venom at first? It's like he suddenly became a really good fighter. And Gwen had too little screentime, also.
Overall, though, it was better than I expected (I mean, with three villains in it, Sam Raimi had it rough), but it was still cheesy.

Well, you've got to admit, in the begining he was beating the *ahem* out of Parker. It was just Spidey's lucky blow that saved his butt. And the second time they fought he was wearing the venom suit, so that may have had somthing to do with it.
I actually like this movie. Harry has one of the best smiles in the world, second only to Patrick Currie.
Venom was awesome! I love his teeth. Love them!

Harry is awesome! He like totally made the Spiderman movies for me. If it weren't for him, I probably wouldn't have bothered with ol' Spidey. They are kinda lame...
I was sobbing in the theater! Seriously! Why do all of my favorite characters have to die?
Brom, Obi-Wan, Archie...
*sniff*
And may I mention that James Franco totally pwns Tobey as an actor? =P
EDIT: I've noticed there are two groups: One that thinks Harry totally looks like Anakin (which I belong too) and another which totally can't believe us.
He does! Even my dad thinks so! lol.

That would be Hayden Christianson. Yeah, he could have done a way better job of acting in the movies. I mean, Lucas could have just used a cardboard cutout for cheap.
Yeah, I love the Spidey movies too. And Tobey. James Franco is good and all, but he didn't really make or break the movies for me.

that's really funny! b/c me and my sister said the same exact thing!!!!! OMgoodness!!!
haha. i thought spider-man was cool but when peter just didn't get it!!! he was so full of himself!! i don't think SPIDERMAN didn't get enough screen time, like he didn't do any cool swingin through the city sequences and stuff, and the same with venom.
didn't Harry die from his glider b/c of venom, or was it sharpened poles? i thought it was the glider that killed him, but other ppl tell me otherwise. . .

^I thought he was killed by his glider. And I agree about the Spiderman thing. He was really stuck up! Though people weren't helping. I could have had more people-still-not-liking-Spidey rather than a big PARADE. That scene just had me shaking my head and laughing. And I liked how there was more development of Peter - and the villians - in the other movies. But that's because there was just too much to cover, I guess.
