Man of Steel
Maybe Superman just isn't my superhero, or maybe I'm just spoiled by all the Marvel movies, but I was a bit disappointed by this movie. The storyline was wobbly, both chronologically and content-wise, and the fighting scenes were a bit overdone. There were so many of them! And although Henry Cavill makes a very attractive Superman, he's just a bit too polished in this film.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug for the tenth (and possibly) final time in theaters. Now I've seen DoS as much as AUJ in theaters. The only difference is that unlike AUJ, I've only seen DoS in 3D (once in the new HFR 3D, and nine times in regular RealD 3D). I already have the 3D Blu-ray/DVD combo pack on pre-order from Future Shop (even though I don't technically have a Blu-ray player yet, I couldn't resist having Thorin on the cover. Because of this, I'll probably end up keeping both versions, unlike last year with AUJ).  _________________
