drew's destiny i think that is a great list to of things that need to be seen in AWE but im not to sure about the whole W/E children thing. i think that might be going to far ahead. i think the end would be satisfying w/o that scene.

idk it just doesn't appeal to me. in my opinion i don't think it would be a good scene....unless its done and put in just right......sry

(again this is just my opinion)

Fine...I think Alatariel Frodo is a very observant individual and has the makings of a true spoiler hunter. :P

*starts laughing* If I know anything! :-P Right now I know very little about AWE. :-P The spoilers aren't very readily available yet.

Aye, but you're very good at putting two-and-two together and taking hints from a movie (even if it took ye about 4.5 months longer than it did us :P). That's a major part of spoiler-hunting; if you take everything at face-value and don't read into it at all, then it's very difficult indeed to find any significant spoilers. Oh, there'll be a little something here and there about filming a scene, or someone'll let something slip in an interview (Orlando's the best about that, because whenever he gets nervous, he rambles), but very few concrete details. On average, it'll take us several weeks to verify something, unless it's taken directly from the mouth of a highly credible source (such as Ted & Terry or one of the actors). It takes even longer than that to turn a speculation into a known fact. Most of the time, it'll start with an off-handed comment from someone that seemingly has no value. Then, someone'll realize, "Hey, if this happens, then what about...?" and we start matching it up against other tidbits of information.

The best analogy I've been able to come up with for spoiler-hunting (and I have a whole thing I wrote on it somewhere, but I can't find it) is doing a jigsaw puzzle without the picture on the box of what you're making. It starts out very slow; you'll find a blue piece here, a green piece there, an orange piece over there...overall, a very tedious process. As you start sifting through the pieces, you might start to notice a trend of mostly blues and greens, and therefore be able to infer that the orange piece probably doesn't fit. You set it aside for the moment, but don't completely throw it out. To begin with, you start finding all of your edges pieces and begin working on your border until you gradually create a boundary into which it must all fit. Once you know the overall size of the puzzle and the basic outline, it becomes easier to see related pieces and start putting them together in clumps, though you're not sure exactly where they'll go yet. A cluster of blue might be a patch of sky, or it could be a lake, or even an entire ocean; we can't know yet. The more you put together, the easier it becomes to determine what does or doesn't fit. Now it becomes apparent that the orange piece is actually part of a flower somewhere, while a pink piece picked up eariler most decidedly does not fit. Gradually, the clumps start coming together to form even larger clumps, and eventually you start placing them where they probably go in the big picture. The big clumps then determine where smaller clumps go, and bit by bit, a picture starts to form. The last few pieces are the easiest to fill in, since you already know pretty much what it's going to look like and therefore know what to look for. Finally, you get your full picture.

Or, in simpler terms, it's a whole lotta work :teehee:

^That's an excellent way to describe spoiler hunting! That's pretty much how I do things. It's not always easy, but if you work hard enough, you can normally find some things out. Being obsessed helps. :teehee:

I'm not really sure I WANT to know all the spoilers....I'd like to go into the theater with a few inklings of what may happen (like, I won't be surprised at the asian pirates) but I don't want to know exactly what's going on. For instance, I'd like it to not be readily apparent whether the ending will be J/E or W/E; because not only will this drive me insane for the next 190 days, it will make me so utterly nervous and excited that I'll be practically shaking by the time I walk into the theater, which is always fun :) However, I do think that the odds are in W/E's favour, but that's only my opinion.

I want to know whether it's J/E or W/E before I see it... because if it's J/E, I just might boycott DMC and AWE forever.

manwathiel, Thanks. Well, if they're realy, truely, without a doubt, going to end the series then I think that it might be a good way to do it. At first I didn't like the idea of ending movies like that but then I saw in LotR RotK where they ended with Sam, Rosie, Elanor, and Frodo and I thought that it was beutiful. So now I'm kind of for movies sometimes ending like that. However personaly I would perfer that it just didn't end at all. ;)
No, need to be sorry. You're allowed to have your opinion and so am I, on here. So all is well. :-D

pirateoftherings, Very, nice comparison. (two thumbs up)

I did some intensive searching yesterday... I actually did find out a few things, which was good. Spoiler hunting is fun. :teehee: But I don't think I'm near as good at it as potr, I'm still rather new to it.

Ooh, metoo! That is fun. ;)

I'm not a very good spoiler hunter. But if I tried, I might be able to find something. I'm just to lazy. :p
