I saw it on thursday night and I have to say that I totally enjoyed it!!!
Daniel Craig wears Bond's diner-jacket with success and is totally believable! It's a real compliment from my behalf knowing that I am a Pierce Brosnan freak! :-D

The last ones (especially Die another day) were far from the original spirit of the saga but this one takes us back to the good times of Connery and Moore.
Your opinion?! :)

I liked it! If you ask me, Craig is the most believable Bond so far. I like him better Brosnan.

Of course, I mainly saw it for Mads (Le Chiffre). I think I liked him better as Tristan, but he does evil pretty well.

I am so much complicated with the way the story went. Graig's acting was fairly good. But Brosnan was legendary Bond. You have to accept that. Anyway, is this story going to have a sequel. You know they left an open door to another one.

I was wondering when a topic like this would be made.

I haven't seen the new film but I am so happy for DC that it is a success, because of all the utter rubbish he had to put up with, I am so glad it's turned out to be a huge success. :-)

I loved that movie. It was Bond. It didn't have all the techno stuff that the latest ones did, but it was good. Action, nice cars, and bad guys. Totally awesome.

My Normal Person review

I loved the movie, its definately one of my favourites. The opening credits rocked, I LOVE the theme song (Audioslave rock), the Bond girl was interesting for once and the DBS was stunning. And the one liners that we, eight teenagers, found (mostly unintentionally) funny had us in hysterics.

My Fangirl review

Yeah I have to say that I really didn't believe in Daniel Craig to be Bond when I first heard of it. But he eventually manages quite well! What a style! Even when he's close to death, Bond can stay cool! LOL! You would be panicking of course but Bond doesn't! 8)

What I loved the most was the thrilling poker game! Oh my! I was almost sweating! :P Exit invisible cars and bomb-pen! Yerk! That was too much!

I thought it was great! :) And yes, DC was very charming/hot/whatever :D

SPOILER WARNING
I was just sad he didn't get the girl in the end :( Even though if he would've, then Bond wouldn't have been the same, but still...:(

I liked this but in a film in its own right. It was so different to all the other Bonds but it was still very good.
It respected women more rather than just having them as objects, but the only thing that disspointed me was that they hardly ever played THE James Bond theme, i heard it once, maybe im wrong, at the end and that was it! Hmph.

Eh, well, I just saw it, and have mixed feelings. It was a pretty good movie independent of the Bond franchise, I think. But as a Bond movie...

Daniel Craig was good, but for me, he wasn't...Bond. To me, Bond is witty, impeccable, has lots of gadgets, and is dark-haired. DC did not have very many clever lines, was always covered in sweat and blood, only had...um...his cellphone for a gadget, and was a blond. Sure, he was more believable. But for me, he wasn't Bond.

It had a good plot and good acting though, and I liked Eva Green in her role. Opening credits were awesome. It was a bit too violent for my taste, which is weird, because I usually don't have a problem with violent movies, but such stuff as the blonde girl almost getting her arm chopped off just made me wince a little too much.

I saw it last night and I am surprisingly positive about it! It was not a traditional James Bond movie, so I wonder if fans of the traditional movies liked it. I don't care for too many fancy cars, gadgets, unrealistic weapons and plots and mad scientists who wants to take over the world.
And sure that isn't Bond! And perhaps that's why I liked it so much!

The opening credits and song were great. The opening scene on the construction site was amazing - the best action scene in the movie.
I was also pleasantly surprised that there weren't as much violence as I had expected when people said it was a violent movie. Arwen, I agree, the scene where the blonde almost gets her arm chopped off is nasty, but since they didn't do it, it was so much more effectful, because it built up to that. But I didn't like the following scene with mad guy going insane with machete *shudder*

Eva Green was adorable. The scene in the train where Bond and she verbally cross blades was quite intelligent. It was so well made. You could almost see the blades cutting through the air after each sentence!!
Owhh and M had some good lines this time!!

Well I finally saw Casino Royale last night, and I thought it was really great. :-)

I'm not the world's biggest Bond fan, I have only ever seen From Russia With Love (my favourite of the Sean Connery films), You Only Live Twice (urgh) and Goldfinger. And of the Pierce Brosnan films....er...the one with Jonathan Pryce as the head of the news company... I always get the newer films mixed up. :P

To be perfectly honest, the old Bond really got up my nose. The whole smarmy, cocky personna really annoys me, especially Conney's Bond. I really hate all the stupid one liners:

[Bond harpoons someone] "I think he got the point"
[Bond electricutes someone] "Shocking"

Hahahahahah...... not.... if that was how Bond was meant to be in the books, I would never read them. Thank the Lord, Daniel Craig's Bond is the Bond Ian Fleming created.

For people like me, who want a film that actually has a character who is realistic, it's brilliant. Bond beats people up, and he does look bloody and battered. I'm starting to think all other Bonds were robots or aliens or something. Coming away from a fight involving 6 people, and without even a hair out of place.... that's not normal! In this film, it shows that Bond isn't a super-hero, he's just a man, so naturally he's going to look worse for wear sometimes.

I also like the idea there were no rocket propelled cars, and all the other stupid gadgets. This was basically one man, on his own doing his job. And I really liked that.

:notworthy: And Daniel Craig himself was superb. If you want Bond as he should be, this is the man. If you want a two dimensional Bond, you're watching the wrong film. This Bond has his demons, he's not always right, he's not perfect. And I think that's one of the reasons why I love this Bond so much. And do you know what? I never even noticed his hair was the "wrong" colour. :P I was too much involved in the story and the acting to be bothered about petty details. We could all mention Legolas' hair colour and quite a few other changes the characters... but that would bne pretty wouldn't it? ;)
