Any one else excited to see Sex and the City?? I am - my friends and I are going to try to go the opening day, but that will probably be difficult.

I don't expect it to be as good as the series. Not at all. I know that they're going to make it too emotional & cheesy and it won't be as funny & controversial. I hope it's at least somewhat enjoyable though.

(I realize this may be a long-shot on this forum but I had to mention it)

just finished posting about this on the "what movies are you looking forward to" thread, haha.

i like how they ended up with nice guys in the finale of the show. just goes to show that nice guys stick around. to digress, harry/charlotte is my favorite couple. anyone else cry (or almost cry, in my case...i can't cry at movies or books for some reason...) when they found out they were getting a baby from China? or when smith came back to tell samantha that he loved her?

anyways, any theories on what happens to the carrie/big wedding? or the steve/miranda thing? the trailer implies infidelity on steve's part.

Oh my god! I totally want to see this movie! I love the series, I hope it's just as good...I guess we'll see...

It seems the trailers imply the Carrie/Big wedding gets to big and is canceled or something...I hope that doesn't happen...I like big...

I agree with Maironiel, I love Harry/Charlotte, Charlotte is definitely my favorite character

^^Miranda & Steve are my favorite couple. Miranda's my favourite character and Steve is adorable and perfect for her. I actually liked all the couples in the end though, which was surprising. Charlotte always kind of irritated me, but I do love her and Harry together I didn't cry but it definitely was emotional and ended beautifully.

I hope Steve doesn't cheat on Miranda! That would be so upsetting. I don't want to see any of the couples break up...but it could easily happen. There will be Carrie/Big conflicts but after all they've been through it kind of seems repetitive.

unfortunately, my mom and i only caught on to this show after it was over fortunately, i have HBO On Demand at my house and we can watch the hilarious un-censored versions.

random favorite laugh out loud moment: season 6, the girls are talking about going out, samantha is invited, but when she looks at her planner she says "sh** mother f***er f*** sh**" and miranda relies with "oh, it's a sh** mother f***er f*** sh** ?"

makes me laugh evvvvery time.

I agree about Smith's hair.

I didn't start watching it until a couple years ago, and that was only occasionally. But we just got "Cosmo TV" which shows Sex and the City all the time, and I got all the seasons on DVD as a early birthday present a couple days ago.

^haha, I love that moment too. One of my favourite Miranda lines is "The guys that you have the great second date with and then never hear from again. I pretend they died." How she delivers the last line is just perfect.

And how Charlotte names her talk Elizabeth Taylor, and so whenever her name is used it just sound ridiculous. Like when Charlotte says Elizabeth Taylor's going to be in a dog show, or "that was the day Elizabeth Taylor moved in with Charlotte and Harry".

^^ oh yeah. miranda has some pretty amazing lines. like when she tells steve that she's pregnant. steve: you want sprinkles? Miranda: i'm pregnant.
it just made a hilarious moment.

and i always thought the elizabeth taylor thing was funny. especially when she gets pregnant and charlotte has to keep cleaning up after her. "elizabeth, mommy can't look at you right now."

oh! what about the teabag situation with harry? hehehehe..."just breathe through your nose" hahahaha

Just got back from seeing it... for over half the movie it's all angst angst angst (it's Carrie and Miranda, fyi... Charlotte is happy go lucky the whole movie and Samantha is fairly content).

I had this big goofy grin on my face for like the last 10-20 minutes.

Jennifer Hudson added such a sweet and charming addition to the movie.

Great movie! Long, but lovely.
