So a friend just asked me if we should go see this movie... I'm really not into chick-flicks like that, but I wanted to hear some other opinions.

Anyone seen it?

A little late now, but I did see it. A friend asked me to go with her, and I'm generally tolerant of chick flicks, but this one was bad. The main character was super vain and it had a ridiculously cliché ending. No originality whatsoever.

Thanks Larael, that's pretty much the conclusions I jumped too, prejudiced as I am... So i didn't see it, but I hope the book is better so I'm taking it as a gift for a co-worker's birthday party tonight... I hope she doesn't find it insulting but she's free to take it back to the books store if she doesn't like it - or if she already has it! :P

My friend read the book and thought that it was a lot better. At any rate, I just don't think this movie came at the right time considering all the economic troubles in the world.

True... but the problem of shopaholism is still valid and if that is the one of the themes the movie tries to stress they still have a reason...

Anyway, my friend seemed pleased with book and we also got her The Devil Wears Prada, which I've read and liked. :P
