Is this show not the awesome? It's so weird, it's fantastic! Very quirky but it's so very charming.... Anyone else watch this show?

Someone else! YES!
I think it's my favorite show on TV right now. It really reminds me of a Tim Burton movie mixed with another show called Dead Like Me. It's so bizarre, yet insanely sweet at the same time.
I still can't get over how cute Ned and Chuck are together. That and the writing is FANTASTIC.
Ned: "I asked you not to use the word 'zombie'. It's disrespectful. Stumbling around, squawking for brains. That's not how they do. And 'undead'? Nobody wants to be un-anything. Why begin a statement with a negative? It's like saying 'I don't disagree." Just say you agree."
Ned: "You're either living or you're dead. When you're living, you're alive. When you're dead, that's what you are. And when you're dead and then you're not, you`re alive again. Can't we say 'alive' again? Doesn't that sound nice?
Ned: "This is not strange. Unusual, maybe eccentric in a quaint way like dessert spoons."
Chuck: "Then you haven't been hugged properly. It's an emotional Heimlich. Someone puts their arms around you, gives a squeeze. All your fear and anxiety comes shooting out of your mouth in a big, wet wad and you can breathe again."
Chuck: "What? You love secrets, you want to marry secrets and wanna have little half-secret-half-human babies."
Olive: "Musing on the idea of setting someone on fire doesn't mean you really want to set them on fire, it's just the thought of it that makes you happy, but just for a second and then you feel bad, but that second can be a lot of fun!"
Chuck: "I have so many questions. My mind wanders."
Ned: "You need to feed it warm milk and a turkey sandwich, let it curl up in a sunny spot and go to sleep."
They're only going to be able to make nine episodes because of the stupid writer's strike though.

This show is honestly the most adorable thing I have ever seen! Watched all the episodes that have aired so far in a day, cos I was so totally hooked. I didn't think anyone could make kissing through celophane hopelessly romantic, but boy did they suceed! Do we only get 9 episodes? Thats a shame, but I still support the writers, however much I'll be missing my Pushing Daisies fix.

i love this show....it's so crazy....to me it's a mix between dead like me, it's all weird and bright like tim burton's charlie and the chocolate factory, and with the narrator it remindes me of Dr. Suess.

Calenfalathiel, welcome back! I haven't seen you around in a long time.
I am absolutely in love with this show!
(I've been thinking about starting a thread for for some time. )
It's just so wonderful, in every way! Funny, weird, thrilling, cute, romantic... it has everything! Ned is so adorable, and Chuck is just perfect for him! I think it's so sweet how she is his one priority and he'll go to such lengths to make sure she's kept alive. And they're still completely in love although they can't touch. It's just so pure and innocent.
Tim4x, I love those quotes. I can't believe you remember them all!
Kess, oh yes, the kissing through the cellophane was beautiful. And the dancing in the bee suits. We'll have to see how long the writer's strike lasts. Hopefully not too long! I do want them to get paid, but at the same time I really want good TV back.
Manwathiel, Dr. Suess is a good way to put it. But that's one of it's charms. It's so quirky and different and it's got a great plot. What's not to love?

I've caught it a few times, the promos really catching my eye. I think it is so adorable... and it does have this quirky attraction to it, its quite fantabulous really.

I love this show! I just watched it last week, and I loved it! It's so quirky, yeah, but very cute too!
'Twas funny though, because I had just seen a Torchwood episode involving people coming back to life, and I kept comparing the two. And they're about as opposite as two shows can get.

I have them all written on my Social Studies binder. Some of them are quite useful at school.
I don't know if anyone else loved the music as much as I did, but you can find some here:

And

^"Fairy Tales Don't Have Happy Endings" is especially good.
I also have good news about the future of the show. If the strike ends by mid-February we'll get four or five new episodes. If it doesn't end by then, "Corpsicle" will serve as the season one finale and the show will just return with a full second season. Either way, the future of the show is pretty much secure.

How sad! For this is no longer the case!
Pushing Daisies...
winner of 3 Emmys and nominated for nine others including Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series AS WELL AS three Golden Globe nominations for Best Comedy Series, Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, and Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. And all this after only one 9-episode season!
... is in danger of being canceled!
The ratings have been terrible, due largely to the poor marketing skills of ABC. After the writer's strike took effect last year, ABC jerked Pushing Daisies completely off the air, replacing it with... are you ready for this?... WIFE SWAP! Like most of the other shows that were treated this way (i.e. Heroes, Chuck), it's failing in it's second season. ABC has even refused to give Pushing Daisies a full season of 22 episodes, instead it might be cut off at 13 episodes.
I beg you on behalf of quality television to go to these websites:
http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group ... 8901264392
http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_w ... ss_kristin
They'll tell you want you can do to let the ABC executives know that you love Pushing Daisies, and how much of a crime it would be take one of the few quality televisions series off the air.
Most of all, what you can do is
WATCH PUSHING DAISIES!
Currently on:
Tuesday at 8pm on CTV (canada)
Wednesday at 8pm on ABC (USA)
Saturdays at 9pm on ITV1 (UK)
Mondays at 9 PM on ITV2 (UK)
If you haven't seen Pushing Daisies yet, I highly recommend it! Here is a short summary of what the show is all about:

Thanks for the linky.... The show hasn't come to my wee country yet, but I'll be looking out for it.
I loved the YouTube starter kit! I should be prepared and ready to go!

Yay! Thank you, Ea! You could try www.abc.com for full episodes. Don't you love how they call it a "starter kit"? It makes you feel like you're about to do something much more productive than just watch TV.

YAY!!! Finally Pushing Daisies hit a TV near me!
I didn't realise until a couple of days ago so I'm gonna have to jump in on episode three but I'm excited anyway!!!
I tried to watch episode one and two on abc.com but it isn't available to viewers outside of the US.

Double yay!! How are you liking it, Ea? Episode 3... is that the one where Emerson gets "stuck like Winnie the Pooh"?
That's very unfair. But I don't think it's even on abc.com anymore, anyway. The show was officially canceled and taken off the air before they even ran the final three episodes, although desperate fans like me haven't given up on the hope of another network picking it up or movie. DC Comics is apparently going to turn it into a 12-issue comic book series, although the characters are going to be fighting 1,000 zombies or something bizarre like that. The good news is they will be streaming the last three episodes live online for members of abcinnercicle.com, and the first one was the other night. The good part is that there were so many Pushing Daisies fans signing up and logging in to watch the episodes (many of them lying to fit in the demographics that hadn't been filled up yet ) that we crashed the server!
Anywho, Ea, try www.thewb.com/shows/pushing-daisies/

Sorry, it's taking me so long to post.
So I watched episode three and how did I like it? Well... not as much as I had hoped for actually. I stil love and adore the idea behind the plot, it's a great idea, but I wasn't too fond of the characters and how the plot unfolded. Perhaps it's getting better as they go along... I might give the show another chance!
