Well, many know of this film and can't wait to see it. And we already have a teaser. The movie premiers the 18 of December of 2009 in USA.

Here is the teaser:

Let's talk about it.

Oo, I'm excited! :) I've been waiting for Disney to go back to some good 2D animation for years. Hopefully this one will be really good. *views the trailer*

I really like the look of it actually. :D

I think Disney have had way too much flak in recent years. If they'd never come up with the idea of straight-to-video sequels, most people would say they're just making good films. The days of Pinocchio and Snow White are gone. There's never going to be any Disney film that's going to create such an impact as they older ones, simply because we've seen it now, and in animation, there is literally only so much you can do that's different. Some people don't even like Beauty and the Beast and say that can't compare to the "classics".

I feel sorry for Disney. On the whole, whatever they do will always be compared to their earlier work, no matter how good it is.

I thought people loved Disney. How can it be? The teaser's up, and people are criticising it! Why? Because the princess is black?

Because, basically people are jerks. And I would ban jerks from cinemas.

I've just been reading comments on YouTube about the fact the FIREFLY has no teeth... oh, my. That's awfully insulting.

I would be SO insulted if the firefly had a British accent and it had no teeth... because it's making out British people have bad teeth.

*slaps jerky people to kingdom come*

People are waaay to quick to pick out things in a cartoon that are racist or insulting to an ethnic group. Get a life. These sort of people create problems that aren't even there.

The heroine looks really pretty. ^^ This should be a good movie, I'm always looking foreward to good animation!

And some people just get offended way too easily, in my opinion. Just ignore them.

I'm really interested in the Princess and the Frog - from the teaser it looks like a really interesting concept.

I've also heard about Rapunzel Unbraided, which is going to be a disney animation that looks like watercolor paintings!

I know that I'm going to go see both - Disney Princesses were with me growing up, and I'm interested in every new princess. (Unless they do some "Miley Cyrus, Disney Princess" type thing, lol)

Oh hoorah! That's a quote for Rapunzel, but it fits for both. I can't say how glad I am that Disney is hitting it's roots again. Both movies look like they'll be awesome!

I'm very excited for this, since the Princess and the Frog has always been one of my very favorite fairy tales. And indeed, disney has gotten away from it's fairy tale roots... it's time to come back. :)

For those interested, here is some concept art for the film...

Oh my goodness! It's in 2D! That's so awesome! I like the looks of it! It's time Disney released some more classic fairytales.

Someone mentioned that Disney wouldn't be able to live up to some of their "older" stuff....But...part of me is thinking that because we're older, we remember when that stuff was released and how wonderful it was for us then. But, I believe the newer generation, like, my cousin(who is 8), she will always remember the newer movies as part of her childhood....and always treasure them.... just like how we treasure and love...Aladdin and Snow White....or any of the other "older" movies....(Saying Older...makes me feel old)

when i saw the trailer, it made me want to watch it because it's back to the classic 2-D!!!! i loved watching the disney movies as a little kid. i'm excited for it just because it's going to be like an original disney film. the storyline looks pretty cool: typical, yet so original. it'll be refreshing, in my opinion.

people are already making racist cracks?? i can't believe that! people always have to play the "racism" card. :explode: . . . :annoyed2:

It. Was. FANTASTIC.

Seriously up to par with Lion King, and possibly even Beauty and the Beast. Disney hit a winner with this one. SO AMAZING. The music and the animation and the bad guy and...gah! Most movies I will see, think they're awesome, then after a day or two be like "okay, there were a few things that could've been changed" but not this one. Go see it as soon as possible.

(It may have helped that my friends and I dressed in princess dresses and had a stuffed frog.)
