The basic synopisis for "Valhalla Rising" is that for years, One-Eye, a mute warrior of supernatural strength, has been held prisoner by the chieftain Barde. Aided by a boy, Are, he kills his captor and together they escape, beginning a journey into the heart of darkness. On their flight, One-Eye and Are board a Viking vessel but the ship is soon engulfed by an endless fog that first disintegrates as they sight an unknown land. As the new land reveals its secrets and the Vikings meet a ghastly fate, One-Eye discovers his true self.

You can see the trailer here>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kf-AS...layer_embedded

The whole plot idea sounds pretty good and the trailer looks pretty sweet! Mads Mikkelsen plays One-Eye, a really great actor in my opinion. All in all I think it's going to be a good film and I look forward to it coming out on DVD here in the States.

Is anyone else here planning on seeing this?

haha I couldn't have said it better myself! Course I love Mads in just about anything anyway

*ahem* sorry 'bout that.

Anywho, I just wish I didn't have to wait so long for "Vahalla Rising" to be released on DVD (since that'll probably be the ONLY way I'll get to see it :annoyed2:

Madds is yummeh  No apology necessary.

It might have to be a dvd buy for me as well, depending on wether or not my local cinema gets it. Was looking forward to seeing Outlander (Vikings and Aliens FTW) on the big screen but my local never showed it. I was gutted.

LOL - I'm glad I'm not alone in my, -er, um appreciation? :P

I certainly know how you feel! Our local theatre seems to have rules against showing anything good. Everytime there's a movie out there I'm looking forward to seeing, I can guarantee they won't show it *sigh*
