I looked around and I couldn't see a thread for this only one for the series, so if I've missed it I apologise in advance. I thought the movie deserved a thread of it's own.

So annnnnnnyways. The official teaser for the movie is out and you can see it here at the official movie website (which also has some great wallpapers and icons up already): http://www.thelastairbendermovie.com/

Some official stills.

Dev has really impressed me as I was bit :annoyed2: about his casting. But seeing him in the Fire Nation armour with the trademark scar. I was sold.

Gotta see pics of Katara and Sokka and Iroh and aaaah everyone :bounce:

Haha, I can't wait!

Although, I went on to imdb, and I don't think that Toph is going to be in this movie. I'm dissapointed, because Toph was always one of my favorite characters.

Toph wouldn't be in this movie as it's based off the first Book. If this movie is successful enough to warrant a sequel (which I'm sure it will) then we'll see Toph.

Ah. That makes sence. I'm glad they aren't cutting an awesome character from the movie.

Nope, no other stills other than caps from the teaser. I have read that the main cast have taken official pics in costume and they should be getting released in the near future. Maybe at Comic Con, seeing as M.Night said there'd likely be no new footage to show. I guess we'll see. I'm keeping my eyes and ears open for any new bits of info.

They couldn't not too the sequels without Toph. She's just too important, that and she's completely awesome. Definetly my fave character of the show.

I'm excited!!! Sokka was my favourite character, so I'm hopeful that he'll look fine.

My one question/skepticism about the movie is...why in the world is M. Night Shyamalan doing this movie? It doesn't seem in keeping with his style.

His kids love the show and got him into it (his daughter dressed as Katara one Halloween awww). I can't remember if he was approached or he approached them. But I like that it's not his typical style, it's a challenge for him and it's turning out oaky so far imo.

WOW, i didn't know about this movie until i saw the midnight showing for revenge of the fallen. i was wondering what M. Night was up to when it showed his name, and the whole time i was guessing if it was Avatar, because it is definitely NOT his style. when me and my sister saw the arrow we *SPAZZED!!* it was funny b/c we were the only ones in the theater who were excited. ever since, we've been looking up info. i'm excited to see what the movie will turn out to be! i watched the show when it was out, and i hated it at first, then it grew on me, really fast :)
i think his daughters approached him. . . *Adorable*
i read an article on a fan website that he M. Night has always wanted to do a huge trilogy and he also said he wants to make it a serious and touching atmosphere like LotR!!!

I do agree with Lady of Taniquetil it is really not M. Night's style at all. Has he ever done anything that is a series? The Last Airbender what I know from the show on T.V. is huge. I have never really seen the show but I know the series is really big. So is there going to be multiply movies or just one?

it says somewhere that he wants to make a trilogy. the show's seasons were in three "books", so it makes sense. its just that Noah ringer, the boy playing aang, will be very much too old by 2014  if he's ten or twelve now, then he'll be fourteen or sixteen. . . well maybe it's not that big of a difference. . . idk haha

One movie for the first series. Then if the movie is a success they'll do two sequels.
