i want to start this not to bash the movie, b/c it's all over the internet, i'm tired of seeing how people hated it. :annoyed2: i just want to touch what i think could have been better, but i'm NOT bashing it. i was so excited for this sequel when i saw the preview during the superbowl, :cool: i even saw the midnight showing on my vacation! i dnt want to make spoilers, just in case someone will read this and hasnt watched the movie yet. i just want to ask, why make a claim that robots are racist? that makes no sense to me at all :blink: they are their own race, and the actors portraying the "racist" robots went down that path of "stereotypes" themselves while acting. it was the personality they added themselves. (Mudflap, i believe, is Tom Kenny, aka the voice of spongebob :-D ) i apologize if there is already a thread about this. i looked through and didn't find one. please, i dnt want this to turn into another Bash-thread. i just want to hear the thoughts of all the wonderful people on A-U :bye2:

I loved the first movie, I loved the second and I look forward to the next.
I don't get the hate that this or the first movie got. I personally think it's mostly older people that put on there rose tinted glasses when it comes to the Transformers in general. It was a cartoon created with the sole purpose of selling toys.

seriously!i agree. i hate it, all the bashing. i was sketchy about it a little way through, because of all the foul language! i mean, IRONHIDE!! i got over it though. it was an amazing movie. :) i wanted more in depth of character. i mean, having twin autobots is soo cool! i'm a twin, so me and my twin sister are like "I'm going to go autobot on you!!" whenever we "fight". we freak ppl out haha.

I'm a G1 fan of Ye Olden Days and I have no real issue with anything that happened in the movies in that context. The cartoon was huge gigantic robots that were at war with each other. The movie is the same. It's just added more human elements to it, which I dig as it grounds it in a more realistic sense.

My complaints:

Not enough Autobot action. Sure you got Prime, Wheelie and the Twins. But they introduce Sideswipe and he doesn't even talk O____O

Megan Fox. Not so much her acting or gratiuitous slow mo scenes and of her in as skimpy clothing as possible. But her voice...I swear it could grate cheese.

It did feel a bit too long, there could have been some stuff cut out to streamline the length a bit. Or at least added some more depth if Bay insists on having it epically long.

and my biggest complaint of all.
Not.Enough.Fallen! Seriously, the movie is called Revenge of the Fallen. He didn't get any bleedin' revenge lol He got his backside kicked almost straight away. Jeeze.


The plus side...so I don't look like a moaning Minnie.

Megatron and Starscream's trademark bantering. I waited the entire first movie for that...now I wants MOAR!
Jetfire was brilliant and I marked hard for him being a SR-71
The B1-B during the battle.

o my gosh i agree with all of that!!!! especially Megan fox's ridiculous scandalousness.

autobot action, yes ratchet was barely there, and i was really disapointed about sideswipe as well. he introduced himself, and that was it. and those awesome motorcycles! that one had an awesome robotic voice. i was very happy it wasnt high and obnoxious.

yah, that president representative guy, what did he have to do with anything?

i didnt think about that. that is true, optimus kicked him really quick. :( i was expecting like, a HUGE battle, but by that time, it was 3 in the morning, i was kinna out of it :P

what was that B1-B thing u mentioned?

i really liked the new Prime idea. :) it was interesting, optimus is my fav, and there was a shot at the end that made me think *AHH OPTIMUS IS SOOO COOL* And when that horrible event happened AHH i was sooo mad. i also LOVEd jetfire. my stepdad watched the show when he was a kid, so he tells me all the new stuff, and the old stuff that was kept in. Ravage is a dog, right? he looks like one in the cartoon. soundwave was pretty ama-za-zing. :)

one thing i want to add that i didn't like is that it was a lot more vulgar than the first one :(

I gotta be fair to Megan here. The scene with her on the bike, I read was done without her knowledge. Mikaela is also a very tough, determined and strong character, yes she's there in part for eye candy but she's a worthwhile character to the overall story imo.

The presidents rep was I guess there to be the foil that John Turturro's character was in the first movie. His scene in with the parachute was lol though.

The B1-B is an absolutely gorgeous aeroplane and pretty much one of my favourite aircraft of all time.

Prime merging with Jetfire was EPIC! They should have dumped some stuff out of the movie so that the fight with The Fallen could have been so much better.

Ravage was one of Soundwave's cassettes and it transformed into some sort of big cat I believe. I'd need to check up as my memory is a bit fuzzy. I used to have an original Soundwave toy complete with a wee Ravage cassette XD Man I wish I still had my old G1 toys and comics.

i agree. they focused on her "hotness" way too much. she was tough in this movie. how she handled the little monster truck decepticon was funny. my sis read an article that said she hated running in sand in those tight white pants and knee high boots :lol: that looked so uncomfy and toasty!

i dont remember that plane :(

my stepdad says that same thing about his old transformer toys. that's right, i remember the cassette thing :)
