I know we have the Most recently watched movie-thread and the Most recently watched TV-show-thread but I've been wanting a thread for sharing and discussing just general TV for a while now. I watch so much wonderous and intriguing TV which would be fun to share. ![]() So I'm hoping this thread can be a little more elaborated than the other Most recently watched... threads. I'm actually thinking about renaming it to just TV-programme - share and discuss. ![]() So I watched a documentary about modern vampires called American Vampires dealing with a subculture to the Goth-scene, those who live as vampires. There is the dressing up and the music and all but the documentary was actually focusing on lifestylers who are blood drinkers. They don't necessarily dress up but they need to drink blood regularly to keep in shape and good health - it was almost like a drug to them and they would become moody and even weak if they hadn't had they regular drink. It was an OMG-experience - but also quite interesting. |

^ I think I have seen that. It is pretty acurate for the blood drinkers. I am more Psy than Sang and more than half of the time the the Psychic vamps are left out because that isn't how people see vamps but... It's interesting though isn't it? ![]() The last show I watched was The Inbetweeners on the BBC. I find it quite hillarious though with the language it seems like stuff is bleeped out to much here in the States. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The last programme I saw was two episodes of Judge Judy. Usual things, rent that hadn't been paid yada-yada. That woman certainly knows how to kick bottom. I wish I knew her, she is the kinda lady I think everyone needs in their life. ![]() ![]() |

Like Psy and Sang? I have no idea what you're talking about... ![]() But yeah, it was very interesting to watch! And The Inbetweeners - don't know the show but I know for sure I couldn't relate to my first car since I've never had a car! I'm European... we don't... well, we do have cars but we also have public transportation. ![]() |

The vampire sub-culture goes far beyond what they show you on TV. ![]() ![]() ![]() ANYWAY, the last show I watched was Family Guy. I love it! they just bash on American culture and all it's idiots and people accept it. It's fantastic! There is always something on the show bound to make you laugh. ![]() |

Oh, thanks for explaining and I'm sorry for being so slow. So you're a modern vampire, interesting. ![]() I'm watching a documentary about child labourers/slaves working in the cocoa plantations in Cotê d'Ivoire. If it wasn't bad enough that they use kids as young as 10 years old, they have kidnapped them and they don't even get paid. To see the sadness in those kids' eyes.. it was so sad. Outrageous! The worst thing though, is that Cotê d'Ivoire is the world's biggest producer and supplier of cocoa beans to chocolate companies all over the world, like Nestlé. Bad, baad Nestlé and Hershey's and all the other... sigh, I really love Nestlé but I gues that's another reason to buy more Fairtrade. ![]() |

![]() I think I saw that documentary or a documentary like that in my sociology class. The worst part was I was eating a chocolate bar at the time. How ironic ![]() The last show I kinda watched by True Life: I have digital drama on MTV. It was meh. People being obsessed with their phones and computers. The last full show I watched was My Life as Liz on MTV. I love that show ![]() |

I saw part 1 and 2 of Extreme Pilgrim dealing with an Anglican vicar who embarks on a spiritual journey to the Shaolin monks and chan Buddhists in China and as an apprentice of a holy Sadhu in India. By learning kung fu and mediation and all kinds of extreme and physical training he was hoping to find a state of peace and become one with god. It was very interesting and made me think a lot - also I was happy that he was the one going through all the hardship and I could just sit back and harvest his experiences! ![]() |

I saw 100 Greatest Musicals, one of those kinda annoying count-down shows, I can't beleive Grease and the Sound of Music came were 1st and 2nd, both imo are two of the worst musicals out there- the Great British Public clearly has awful taste xD also DOCTOR WHO with Matt Smith, I don't wanna go into detail because I'd be bound to spoil it, but My God it was A w e s o m e. Doctor who is back on top form, which it really hadn't been since Blink. YAY Stephen Moffat! |

^ I taped that show at Christmas and whizzed through it. Awful programme and a really crap list as well. One of the last things I saw was Judge Judy. If there is anything I have learned from this show it's: never co-sign for a car with ANYONE, don't loan people money, don't rent an apartment with anyone, don't go before a Judge with no papers to prove you paid someone money, don't live with someone and not marry them and Judge Judy wishes she was 5.7'. ![]() |

I Am Because We Are is a documentary featuring Madonna and dealing with the problem of hiv/AIDS in Malawi, the second most poor country in the world. The challenge is that a whole generation has died or is suffering from hiv - and how can you build a country on children? Well, children are the future so you can succeed if you take care of the children, educate them, encourage them and believe in them. I admit the movie is cheesey and the narration and editing can come off as a little melodramatic - on the other hand it doesn't do anything that showing the of the reality as it is and I'm all for more people becoming aware of the message and taking action in one way or the other. |
