I realize it's a bit early to begin talking about this movie, but I'm terribly excited. Also, I'm not sure if there's another thread for this or not...
Trailer - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjMkNrX60mA
Summary wrote: From Walt Disney Pictures and visionary director Tim Burton comes an epic 3D fantasy adventure "Alice in Wonderland," a magical and imaginative twist on some of the most beloved stories of all time. Johnny Depp stars as the Mad Hatter and Mia Wasikowska as 19-year-old Alice, who returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends: the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and of course, the Mad Hatter. Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen's reign of terror. The all-star cast also includes Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Crispin Glover; Linda Woolverton wrote the screenplay. Capturing the wonder of Lewis Carroll's beloved "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" (1865) and "Through the Looking-Glass" (1871) with stunning, avant-garde visuals and the most charismatic characters in literary history, "Alice in Wonderland" comes to the big screen in Disney Digital 3D™ on March 5, 2010.
Starring: Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Michael Sheen, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Crispin Glover, Christopher Lee, Matt Lucas, Noah Taylor, Timothy Spall, Marton Csokas, Eleanor Tomlinson, Annalise Basso, Jemma Powell, John Hopkins Director: Tim Burton Producer: Jennifer Todd, Joe Roth, Richard D. Zanuck, Suzanne Todd, Tim Burton Distributor: Walt Disney Pictures Release Date: March 5, 2010 Writer: Linda Woolverton
I've never seen the original Alice In Wonderland, so I can't really offer my thoughts about movie comparisons, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I heard about this a few months ago and got really excited for it. Alice In Wonderland is SUCH a fun story. And for some reason it really just FITS Tim Burton. It's almost like it was written for him. XD
Great cast as well. I only knew about Johnny Depp, but now I see Alan Rickman is cast. EXCITING! I can't wait!

I didn't know Alan Rickman was cast.
I'm kinda... not totally into Tim Burton. But, I think the cast list is epic... the name "Johnny Depp" would make any cast list epic.
I probably won't see it in theaters, but, hopefully on dvd... whenever it comes out.

I am SO excited for this movie. Seriously, it's got a stellar cast, and with Tim Burton in charge there's no way they can screw anything up. I mean, as long as it doesn't turn out like Disney's original 1950s version of AiW then I'll be happy.

I grew up with the Disney version, and I haven't read the book in ages, so I can't really say much as far as story accuracy...but part of me is kind of nervous that they'll mess it up, and the other part of me just wants to grin psychotically because of the Tim Burton and Johnny Depp-ness. Yeah, Tim Burton's movies can be kind of creepy, but...I don't know, I like most of them so far. *Has a creepy streak* o.o

I realise that I've never seen a Tim Burton movie.
Ooh.. wait. Hold on. I've seen Edward Scissorhands.. which wasn't scary.. but just strange. It was not my cup of tea.
Well I have high hopes for this movie especially with the list of outstanding actors. They can not fail
By the way, I looked the movie up on IMDB some time ago.. and I never realised that a White Queen played a part in AiW.. But then I've nevre read the novel. Can anyone recommend it?
Anyway.. why don't you like the Disney version of Alice, Lar?

SQUUUUEEEEEEEEIIIIIIEEEEHHHHHH
I wonder how many times I can come here just to squee over the movie! I AM really excited. I'm a Tim Burton fan and a fan of most of the actors starring in AiW. None of his movies scared or creeped me out, although, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory was a bit.. odd. I didn't know the story before I saw it. I have never seen Nightmare Before Christmas (always miss it in December) or Edward Scissorhand... but I will some day!
I have read Lewis Carroll's Alice books and seen some not-animated movie version but they were never a favorite of mine. But the story has got so much potential with a creative mind like Tim Burton's!!!

I cannot wait until this movie is released! I am a HUGE Lewis Carroll fan and a HUGE fan of Tim Burton. With the two together I think the result will be fantastic!

I think a better bet would be to look out for it around Christmas but I will definitely try to get to watch it. I don't know about the 3D version but some theatres showed the regular version last year in December.
[Oh, that's would be nice! ]

I am really excited about this movie, it looks ace. Apart from the fact Tim Burton is awesome, Alice and Wonderland has got to be one of the best Disney movies. A different, darker take on it is going to be brilliant.
