Does anyone like the TV series and movies with David Suchet? ![]() He is the same for Poirot that Jeremy Brett for Holmes. He became Poirot. I have series on DVD and watch it all the time. And in Poland we have newest movies on Canal + so I am able to watch all Poirot movies in short time. |

I LOVE the David Suchet films! He's fantastic and the films are so well made. Which mystery is your favorite? I think mine has always been the ABC Murders. ![]() |

I am a big Poirot fan as well! I have every single episode either on video, DVD or whenever the new ones are aired, I tape them and keep them. Saves spending money. ![]() The first one I ever saw was The ABC Murders. Not too sure which one is my favourite of their adaptations. The newer ones are sadly straying from the books far more than they ever did. E.g, sexual stuff, characters changed to be gay or some sort of pervert, pretty much stuff that during the first 10 years of the Poirot show they wouldn't have added, but I think there has been a new producer or something. They ruined Murder on the Orient Express for me, which is my favourite book, by really turning Poirot into some sort of I don't know... he was preaching religious stuff and things about "taking justice into their own hands" is against this that and the other, which seemed odd as he had sort of turned a blind eye to things before and in the book, he didn't act like a demented priest. |
