If you like Marvel comics, netflix has a bunch if shows about different marvel heroes now. They have Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and a few more I believe. (Aside from Agents of shield) Habe not seem most of them, but the daredevil series was pretty entertaining. |

This one may seem strange, but it is actually good. Lonesome Dove ~ The Outlaw Years. No, it isn't the original movie, and it was a reworked 2nd season of a TV series based on the movie. 1st season was vapid and a bit crap save for the last episode, which was a lead in to the dark 2nd season. Love it as a gritty western. |

Full disclosure time: Hanasian is a Western (and US WWII movie/tv) tragic of epic proportions. Me, as a non Northern American (an ALIEN of UNCONFIRMED STATUS no less), well...I'm a little more jaded of those genres. But that said, Lonesome Dove is not complete, utter, unashamed hegemonic crap. And, honestly, that's saying something. Something good. Totally not trying to damn a genre or title through faint praise. No, really. Truly. And though I am occassionally mistaken for a lady, I am not protesting overmuch. At all. Now, to reveal just how utterly middle aged this belly dancer is, I'm really digging Grand Designs (the UK version). Also - The Crown Season 2, Stranger Things, and other stuff on my Netflix list that I haven't yet watched. Just finished Making A Murderer - a bit late but I wanted all the hype to die down before I delved into it. |
