I just got my Titanic Special Collector's Edition 4-disc DVD today in the mail and I am extremely pleased with it :) Anybody else buy this, or the American 3-disc version?

Am I the only one who wished they would have done an extended version instead, meaning adding all the 29 deleted scenes back into the movie like they did with the LotR EE? All the deleted scenes were very interesting and would have played wonderfully within the film!

Anyways, I have already watched all the special features and watched the movie with the cast & crew commentary :)

I didn't even know that came out, let alone that there were extended scenes. I bought the VHS when the movie came out a few years ago so I might just have to get ahold on a copy and see this; really liked this movie when I saw it.

Ooh there's a collector's Edition of Titanic? I'll have to watch out for it then. Might be the next thing on my list...

Europe gets a 4-disc edition and North America gets a 3-disc edition. I seriously don't know if the 4-disc version I have actually has more bonus features, or if it's just the same as the 3-disc one but spread out across more discs.

You can order the 3-disc version here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AN ... d&v=glance

And the 4-disc version here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASI ... 10-4105224

The 3-disc version is Region 1 (NTSC) and the 4-disc version is Region 2 (PAL).

I bought mine at a Swedish online store, so my cover doesn't have that large red rating symbol that the UK version has, but the language on the cover is in Swedish (which is fine with me since I am Swedish lol).

Yeah, I saw this at Target! It looks like it's a good collector's item! I'm interested in buying it some time.

We've already got it on video, and my mum hates the movie with a passion, so I think that my chances of getting this are not-existent.

As for having the deleted scenes in the movie, well, it's already 3 hours long, I think that's more than enough for me!

I was responding to that bit. :)

lol yeah. well, i would have enjoyed that but i guess most people wouldn't. lol. I've had a LotR EE marathon back-to-back twice already. 3-4 hours would be NOTHING compared to 11½ hours lmao

So, what are the deleted scenes like? Which one is the best?

It's been awhile since I've seen them now but they were all excellent! There was another cute scene with Leo and that little girl Cora, and there were more scenes with the blond girl (the character is a Norwegian girl named Helga) that Fabrizio encounters (and dances with in the 3rd Class Party scene) and you get to see their relationship a bit more. A heartbreaking farewell scene between the two of them as well!

I heard about that! I heard there was one where Rose tells Jack about her dream to be an actress.
