I just saw this EPIC movie yesterday and was wondering if anyone else has seen or is going to see it? I loved it! I thought it was just as amazing as the first one. To me this blows special effects for any other movie out of the water! There is no comparison. Well, to me. You guys might have a different take on the movie. Oh, and Daft Punk doing the soundtrack for Legacy only made things better. I really hope I'm not the only one who's seen it.

I liked the original Tron. And it looks like they kept the "world" pretty accurate. And it has Garret Hedlund. I want to see it at some point. Don't know if I'll get around to it during break, or if I'll wait until it comes out on DVD yet though.

The fact that it seems to only be in 3D pisses me off. So I refuse to see it.

Darkheart, I am now addicted to sound track, and I don't even have it yet. It's kind of sad. I've had my computer on youtube most of the day. BTW, this has nothing to do with Tron, but I love your sig! Wharehouse 13 is such a good show.
Nurr, I am sure there is a drool stain on the carpet because of me. Garrett Hedlund if fantastic! And gorgeous! Oh, and yeah. They kept the world.
Elegost, just from the brief times we've talked I can see you really liking it. And Raivynn, not a fan of 3D I take it?

It helps to know the first movie, but I think you will still like the movie. And liking Daft Punk is not a requirement. Haha. I think it's worth seeing.

@Lor - No. Not at all. I could get into a huge, long and terribly boring rant about my feelings regarding 3D movies. But I won't as that's not what this thread is for.
That being said. I'm glad there's positive reviews for it and you're all enjoying it.

FANTASTIC. I loved the 3D in this, with the glowing blue and orange, it was great. I also bought the soundtrack off iTunes, it's very well done. I love Daft Punk.
I'm not a fan of 3D by any means, but I find that it distinguishes the two scenes of the movie well, no 3D on Earth, and 3D for the Grid is great. There aren't many of the stereotypical "I'm a 3D shot!!!!!! Look at MEEEEEE!!!" shots, and I think that with the nature of the characters, and the vehicles and cities, the 3D works extremely well. The glowing of the blue, orange and yellow lines is only enhanced by the 3D. And since Tron was specifically shot with 3D cameras, it's as well done as you can get 3D.
I love the lightcyles, and the glow that everything has, it's a mystical feeling, and I felt immersed in the movie. I liked the darkness of the movie, but it wasn't a typical darkness, it was dark in a way where it wasn't scary, or creepy, but just a dark feeling. The outlands, and the "negative space" that all of the black areas creates is an amazing effect. Highlighted by the glow of discs, and grids and the curves on lightcycles and light jets.
I have nothing but good things to say about this movie. Garrett Hedlund is also nice eye candy.

Yay! More Tron fans. Nienna, I highly recommend seeing the first. It's just as good as Legacy in my opinion.
Darky, it seems you had the same feeling I did about it. I find 3D cool, but the way it is done sometimes makes it feel cliché. The way Legacy did it never made me laugh at the 3D. It brought me further into the movie. And your mention of Garrett Hedlund has me drooling all over again.
Since I grew up watching the original Tron, I was sad there wasn't more screen time for the original Tron character. I mean, you saw him but in a since didn't see him. Okay, that made no sense, but I don't know how else to put it. He was my favorite character in the original. That is minor though. I still think the movie was beyond epic!
