I knew there was a musical about the Declaration of Independance and I also knew there would be a time and a place for us to get aquainted. Well that time was a few days ago and that place was youtube. Came across it by accident and the rest, as they say, is history. It is quite a different musical than a lot of others. It doesn't have a great many songs (well, not many considering the 142 minutes running time), and it apparently has the longest segment of any musical where there is not one song (on the original Broadway run, they actually let the orchestra leave for a bit as they were not needed for so long), which is an awesome fact that everyone needs to know. But as well as the great songs, the main reason I love it so much is the cast, most of them recreating their original Broadway roles. They are all awesome and believable and just great. Admittedly I have a favourite, as I fell in love with William Daniels as John Adams, which helps a film along greatly if you fall in love....  ... I know him slightly from an 80's TV show called St. Elsewhere as my brother and mum were watching it for months and I was SHOCKED I tell ye to see him in this looking younger and handsome and delicious and clean shaven and smart in his dandy Georgian clothes.... I'll stop now I think. 
So now I'm going to buy the DVD so I can watch it on the telly and drool even more.  I've been MEANING to see this! I'm actually sort of surprised you hadn't seen until now. I know. Like I said, with musicals I can be really weird and sort of be aware of them for years, and then actually watch it and I'm like "why didn't I watch that before!!?". I guess I just like knowing about them and having awesome stuff to watch in the future.
I know, I know. I've got so many DVD's from last Christmas that I need to watch (History Channel Presidents & Founding of America box set to name but two), I need to get them watched before this years loot arrives. But John Adams is up there followed closely by the West Wing of TV shows I need to watch and you will, I promise you, be the first to know when I behold the awesomeness of Mr. Jefferson. From that clip I can sort of see why you like him. 
Annnd... I honestly can't remember what I just watched last. That is sad. _________________

Watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - one of my favorite HP-movies. I love to hate Umbridge.. she's just perfect!

Footloose, the new version. I loved it, thought it was really fun, and really good for a remake. as long as you go in settin aside the whole 'its a remake its a remake' thoughts, and quit comparing it to the original, then its just plain fun! I admit, I was dancing in my seat at the end.

The Conspirator, with James McAvoy, about the trial of Mary Surrat and the rest convicted of conspiring to kill Abraham Lincoln. It was pretty good, but not as good as I'd been expecting.
