I agree, he really should be English! I have absolutely no idea who would be good to play him, though. I hope he's well casted, because Caspian is one of those people who I have a really good mental image of from the books. |

I agree, Lady_E, the best way to cast such an important role is to find an unknown, like they did with the Pevensies in LWW. That way there are no expectations or anything for the poor boy who will be thrust into the spotlight. I believe they should cast him around Will Moseley's age, if not a little younger. There will definitely be an uproar if he is not casted well, but we have to trust Pippa Hall, who I think did a fantastic job with the Pevensie kids. |

Yes, he should be English, but have a different kind of accent. After all, his ancestors were pirates. If he wasn't English, I'd go for a South African accent. Those are nice sounding. American accent? Maaaaybe for Archinland, but there's no American influence in Narnia. After all, Archinlanders were decendants of King Frank and Queen Helen, who spoke Cockney. They'd have some sort of English accent too... Though the Ameican and Canadian accent is an accent which changed from the English to what it is now, and I suppose that could happen in the Narnia world too. Even with Caspian. But the whole thing's too English to have anything else! |

The only expectation I have is that he's blonde. He is continuously described as "fair-haired". I will be put out if he is a burnette. Yet that doesn't seem to bother others as much as it does me. A new actor does seem the best way to go though. |

No, he should have brown hair |

But why, it wouldn't go along with the description in the book. I'd like the movie to go along with the book as best as it can. Lol, and the actor should definitely have an English accent, it wouldn't be right if he didn't. ![]() |

I agree that he should be unknown and have an English-y accent, but I don't really care about his hair color. He'd work as a blond or brunette for me. Lucy has blonde hair in the book, but Georgie worked just fine with reddish-brown hair! Oh, and I agree that he should be around Will Moseley's age. If he were more like the age of BBC Caspian, it would be slightly odd. |

Haha... that would be pretty odd. That BBC version really wasn't that great, and I can't wait to see what they come up with [or who they come up with.] |

Didn't Elvereth already start a thread for this? Oh well, I'm too lazy to hunt, it wasn't popular then so who knows where it is? ![]() I'm so excited about this movie. It'll go down in history: The first Disney sequel to not be shunned ![]() Anyway, what am I saying? It's not Disney's movie. The only reason why LWW didn't turn out all cheesey was because Walden was behind the production. So. Caspian. I've always pictured him with fair hair and fair skin. I'm thinking like 13 years old? I would prefer 12, seeing as he's supposed to be pretty young in the book, but we saw how old they casted Peter... *Covers face with hands* I don't know how it'll work with the Pevensies! I mean, William's like 20! Or he will be 20 by the time they finally start filming...oh, bother. And Skandar's going to be like 15...ugh. |

No way, are they really going to be that old? That kinda sucks. I always thought of Caspian as Susan's age, but taller, because Peter always seemed older than him to me. I think he needs to look a bit like the guy who's starring in the Eragon movie...a bit more male-looking though... We own the BBC versions *shudder* We got them for christmas a while ago. Someone was under the mistaken impression that we would like them. I mean come on - Lucy has such a huge overbite, she looks like a horse all the time! And her hair is WRONG. And that's just the tip of the iceberg! |
