In the "Prisoner of Azkaban", when the teachers are discussing Sirius and Harry, Ron and Hermione overhear them when Harry had sneaked into Hogmeade, Sirius was supposed to have laughed when the Ministry arrested him, after the street was blown apart. Now, later on we hear that he is innocent, so why did he laugh when he was being arrested or when Wormtail had just killed all those muggles?

have you ever been so frustrated, mad or sad that you just laughed? I have and maybe that was how he felt ... just my thought

I think he was also laughing at the fact that it was Peter, who they had all looked down on a bit and taken for granted, that turned out to be the betrayer.

I think he was laughing cos he was celebrating conering peter, and he was a bit mad that peter killed his best friend.

Okles thanks- Yeah you do see on films where they just laugh for no reason when everythings just so bad.

Yeah, and thier eyes are red and puffyish. A lot of times they roll thier eyes in a crazy manner!

He might have been laughing frustration because Peter got away again. Sometime's people do the weirdest things when they are frustrated.

Jo was asked that in an interview...can't remember her response but something to the effect of what people here have said.

I think he was laughing cos the the ministry mucked it up - he probs found it funny that they took him instead of the real killer! and then he knew eventually it would all back fire on the ministry.
