*hunts about through homework folder*

I had to design a couple of pages of a newspaper. That was amusing... I grabbed some photos from clip art to decorate it... "Ponyboy" looks like he is nine and "Darry" 30. I'm refusing to read the articles I wrote - it's too embarrassing!

I did answer pages of questions as well... but I seem to have deleted the file... I remember I answered one question with just montage of quotes, and the teacher was so thrilled I was using quotes that I got away with it... ah the things you can do in yr 8.

Upon reflection, the book was great for answering the sort of questions they give you at the level. "Describe the characters..." that sort of thing. Most books don't paint such a vivid picture, and it's harder to read between the lines when you are only 14... I'll never forget the chocolate cake for breakfast.

I LOVE this book! I first read it for an interim class in 8th grade and fell in love with it. I think it was the characterization that got me hooked, I just loved the way Hinton developed the characters and showed the different sides of their personalities.

I had to read that book for English back in 7th grade last year. then we watched the movie. I liked it--it was pretty good. I've thought about rereading it.

i read it in 7th grade which was about 4 years ago and i loved it. out of the 4 book i had to read for english class, as an assignment, i read it and read ahead in it, instead of just haveing friends telling me what happened so i can pass the test. i re-read it again last year and im most likely gona end up re-reading it again this year...thats if my sister reads it for english class this year.

the outsiders and that was then this is now (by s.e. hinton) are the only books i will re-read.

the movie was ok, the only reason why i got the movie was because patrick swayze, matt dillion, emilio esteves and rob lowe.

I'm currently reading it for Language Arts class - today we had "Dress like a Greaser or Soc. Day". I went as a girl greaser and we watched the movie too. Very excellent!
