What did you think of this book? I personally loved it! It was such an amazing book.
What are the advantages of living in the society in the book? Well, for one, everyone would be equal, there would be no denying that one, you are chosen for what your talents are, not what you can convince people to give you. No one would be left out, and everyone is given a fair shot. Not to mention, the woman wouldn't have to worry about the minstral cycle. *smiles*
What do you think is the worst thing about it? In my oppinion, the worse part about it was that you could never fall in love. You would never know what it felt like to have your heart stop when that one person walked into the door. You would never know the feeling of your breathing being stolen in one moment because that one person said "I love you". It would suck, if you ask me.
How far do you think it is right to go to try and create a perfect society? I think it's pointless to try to creat a "perfect society". I mean seriously, it even failed in the book. I believe the book was a warning, telling us that it is not posible to creat a "perfect society" because eventually, someone will find out what a horrid place it really is to be living in a place where you are told what to do and when to do it 24/7, and that it's a lie. *shrugs* But, ya, that's just me.
What did you think about the ending? Let me think... I can't remember much of it... Didn't it end with Jonas taking the child and running? I liked that ending, if that's how it ended. It was... something to give the people of the comunity to think about LOL.
Why do you think this book has been one of the most frequently challenged books? ...I'm not really sure exactly what you're asking, but it prolly has something to do with the issue that the book addresses. *shrugs*

What did you think of this book?
I liked it, actually, but we read it in class, so we discussed every little thing and I hate doing that. It isn't my favourite book, not even a topic I often read about, but I did enjoy reading it
What are the advantages of living in the society in the book?
Well, you don't have to be afraid of anything. You will get a job, you'll always have something to eat, you don't have to decide about problems, everything is prepared for you and your whole life.
What do you think is the worst thing about it?
The missing love. I know, not being able to make your own decisions must be really bad, above all in that kind of way, but the worst thing, from my point of view, is, that there's no love and no one knows about it. It must be hard to see people and to love them and then to notice that they're not able to love you...
How far do you think it is right to go to try and create a perfect society?
I think it is right to try, but not if it gets out of hand. Not, if it violates our rights, nor if it takes away our feelings, our abilities and our liberty
What did you think about the ending?
I don't like it. I really really do not! I think the last sentence messes that whole book up. The whole ending is okay, although I don't really like the fact that it's an open ending, I like the idea of him getting away from that society. And I like the idea of people who didn't want to live in such a society.

What did you think of this book? it freaked me out. What are the advantages of living in the society in the book? well, i guess you don't have to get stretchmarks having babies. i like my emotions too much, though. What do you think is the worst thing about it? the lack of love. i love passionately, and its troublesome for me to think about a society without love. How far do you think it is right to go to try and create a perfect society? not very. society isn't meant to be perfect... its meant to be imperfect and we're supposed to like it. What did you think about the ending? it was weird. very strange. possibly the weirdest thing i have ever read.
we read this book for school. it wasn't a good experience for me.

What did you think of this book? Amazing that is the only word for it.
What are the advantages of living in the society in the book? It has balance and structure, there are few who feel left out. Everyone is included in the structure, everyone is important somehow.
What do you think is the worst thing about it? I don't like the brainwashing. I feel that people should be able to think for themselves, even if their view differe from the rest of society.
How far do you think it is right to go to try and create a perfect society? It should not take away people's freedoms.
What did you think about the ending? I love it, it provides the reader with a choice to use their imaginiation.
Why do you think this book has been one of the most frequently challenged books? Because it has so many things that many countries stand against, lack of rights, brainwashing, destroying a single life for the sake of community. It is a powerful book, and gives people a lot to think over.
