Ah, a wonderful, wonderful piece of literature...
I love this book, I always have. I can fall into the writing, into the style and the descriptions.
Does anyone else feel that way when reading?

I painted Dorian Gray yesterday, actually.

But, has anyone else read this book?
Tell me what you think of it, what you liked about it?

-is very interested-

Although, be warned that I can discuss this book forever and a day...

Ah, you should read it!
It is fabulous. ^_^;
It's very beautiful writing, very poetic...and it's a book that you can't forget once you've read it.

Ah sweet Prince Charming *swoons over Dorian* ah, *dissolves into the Garden* Ah, yes, Shadow my dear, it is a subject that I could speak of forever. Ah, I did feel terrible pity for poor Sybil, but it seemed to me, that Dorian was the one to pity the most, after all, they were not truly his words that he spoke to her, not truly his thoughts that passed through his childish mind, it was Harry! Harry and his poisonous words, *hates Harry*

-hates Harry too!-
-shakes numerous whales at him!-

I pitied Dorian, although the one I pitied most was Basil. I believe that he had fallen in love, he adored Dorian so, only to have him taken away, and then turned against him...
-smiles gently, and huggles Seral-

I know we could talk forever! Forever and eveeeer!

Ah, poor Basil, he loved Dorian very much. Ah, it is sad how Dorian was turned against him, ah you could see it happening from the very beginning! *wails and hugs Shadow*

-strokes Seral's hair- Aww, shh, shh...
It is a most stirring, most beautiful piece of literature, I think. -smiles-
It makes me cry each time I read it, makes me smile, laugh and mourn...
I could always see from Basil's eyes, I think...

I have to ditto what Kit said. Really all I know about him was from The League of Extraordinary Gentleman movie, although (unlike Kit) I did not become fond of him.

It does, doesn't it?
It's a very thought provoking book, I think...

Oh, c'mon, you have to admit, he had that air of cuteness about him. :D And he was certainly devious.

But of course, you're a fan of knights in shining armor. :p

the Portrait is a marvellous book, and notably because it's a book written by the fabulous Oscar Wilde! have you read or see The importance of beind earnest? It's not so dark as The Portrait but really interesting if you like Wilde.

*nods* I love the book, Picture of Dorian Gray. You really get a feel for the characters, both strengths and weaknesses. And then you attempt to decide what character you end up being most like... I love it when authors manage to do that. Oscar Wilde does it quite well
