Wowww that's a long wait
I'm not particularly a huge fan of the books... I just read the first two because I had nothing else to read. I do want to find out what happens though...

There is going to be a third book, relased I think on Sept 23 2008. But it is not the end, the book was going to be over 1000 pages long so he split it into 2 books. It is now the Inheritance Cycle, not the Inheritance Trilogy. Don't know when the 4th comes out though...

^I've read that, too. It kind of annoys me. I do want to find out what happens, but I don't want to read over 1000 pages, and wait another year or something for volume 4 (probably to be utterly disappointed at the end).
But yes, I'm going to read them.

I read that on Shurtugal, too. I am perfectly fine with it, and am still waiting patiently for the third book to come out.
Lol, I suppose Eragon fans will have to revamp their names for the upcoming books, eh?

Yeah, I heard about the news a couple days ago. I'm really excited about the 3rd book, which is called "Brisingr".
And the date has changed. To the 20th of September, not the 23rd. So, we can get it a few days earlier. Ha ha ha ha.
I'm really interested in the fact that there's gonna be a fourth book. Although "Inheritance Cycle" doesn't have the same the same ring to it as Trilogy does...I'll be reading all four.

Three days, not a big deal. But still too far away for me.

So the title is out now? "Brisingr" sounds good, but I'm really surprised that the title doesn't start with an "E". CP seems to be open to surprises

Aha... Breaking the 'E' trend, eh? Well. Now that it has a title, I'm even more exited!

Quote: NEW YORK- The third volume in Christopher Paolini's million-selling "Inheritance" fantasy series, coming out this fall, will have a Harry Potter like midnight opening. Published Alfred A. Knopf will release "Brisingr" on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 12:01 a.m., EDT, with a first printing of 2.5 million. According to Nancy Hinkel, publishing director of Knopf's Books for Young Readers, the novel was originally scheduled for a traditional release, on Sept. 23. "After the initial announcement of book three's release, we recieved an outpouring of requests from booksellers hoping to host midnight launch parties." Hinkel said Wendesday in a statement. "We have responded to their enthusiasm by advancing the date, and we know fans will welcome the oppurtunity to celebrate the publication together." The new book's titile refers to an old Norse word, meaning fire, that has special meaning for Eragon, the series' young adventurer. Paolini's first two books, 'Eragon" and "Eldest" have sold more than 12 million copies world wide. The series is expected to run for four books.
Several things:
He wants more money.
And thus, more plagurization.
Two more?
I have to watch two more come out?
He's trying to feed of of J.K.'s success with midnight parties.
Brisingr, is just another one of his garbled attempts at a language. Not an "old Norse word" thanks very much.
Please, boycott this plagurising piece of fan fiction. Think of all the trees you'll save.
Kill me now.

I'm kinda tempted to agree with you, Darky How does he needs two more huge thick books to write what we all know is going to happen? Hurry up and be done with it, for goodness' sake! I also think the midnight party thing is just weird. I can understand it for HP, but Eragon is SO not as big as HP.
I guess I'll be reading them, but not for the amazing content I'd like to see if they're actually going to be as predictable as I think they will.
