Nice banner and avatar Jennifer Nice name too (it is mine as well... and our dear Ms. Ehle's!)
I just read a book called Dating Mr. Darcy. It sounds cheesey, I know, but it was really good! It gives a lot of good insights into the characters (namely Lizzy and Darcy). I am more convinced now than I ever was before that Darcy is the perfect man

Can I just say that Jane Austen is a genius? An evil, masterminded genius that reinforces the fact that I'm a complete disaster and hopless romantic every time I read Pride and Prejudice! Ah, the brilliance...
Maybe I should just go read Northanger Abbey again . . .

Isn't that the truth . . . *sigh* Why aren't there any Mr. Darcy's in blasted America! GRR!

It is a truth universally aknowledge that the single best man in the world is none other than Fitzwilliam Darcy.

I am very much a Jane Austen fan. I have read all the Jane Austen books ~ they're wonderful! My favorite is likewise Emma. Well, that's it!

I've only read Pride and Prejudice, a couple of weeks ago. It might have helped if I didn't know the plot beforehand, but I enjoyed it.
Several people whose opinions I have a bit of respect for when it comes to books are totally anti-Austin, which is why I haven't read any before... I have a feeling I'd probably enjoy others, so I'll most likely read more at some point.

Emma is a brilliant book! The first few chapters are a bit...dull, but after that it gets really good!
I just started reading Persuasion. i got it for christmas along with Sense and sensibility and Northanger Abbey. Seems good so far (but i've only read like 2 chapters)

I LOVE Jane Austen. My favorites are P&P and Persuasion. P&P I love because it is so youthful and bouncy (I don't know if I'm getting my point across correctly) and Persuasion I love because it is so mellow. I always want to read Persuasion in the fall.

I'm so glad you are all reading Persuasion! I read it a few months ago, and I just got my own copy for Christmas. It's one of her lesser-known works, but also one of the best:D

I'm reading Pride and Prejudice for the first time. It's very nice. I wanted to see the new movie that came out but there just wasn't enough time. I guess I'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD.

I saw Emma and S & S so I decided to read the books. I read Emma and found it a little hard going to begin with but I soon got into it and enjoyed it. I then read S & S (which is my favourite of the 2 films) which was really great. It does help, I think to have watched the films first.

People may think I'm cold and hard hearted..but little do they know I'm a hopeless romantic.....I fell all warm and gushy inside too. It just makes me smile.
