It is FANTASTIC! It is the first thing I have ever read by Tolstoy, but I LOVED it. It was very, very long, but every page is worth it.

Well, if you liked it you should definitely read Anna Karenina. It is one of my favorite books, and the best thing I've read by Leo Tolstoy. I'll have to go get War and Peace now. It's just hard to commit to reading something so long lol.

Absoloutely nothing.
I've been reading non-stop for three weeks.
And for the first time in my life since I was five, I'm not reading anything.
It's strange.

How do you like it (the book that is! :-))? I heard it was good and gave it to a friend for Christmas, I hope she likes it. And why do you have a crush on Zusak? Is he hot? And how do you know? :-)

Wow, I didn't know you liked his books.. you appear so literal and smart and you usually enjoy books so classic that I can only dream of ever reading!! I love his writing style though and his humour! I've got a copy with Sean Astin on the cover which looks like it's from a movie. Do you know if they made a movie of it?

I was forced to read Under the Duvet by Marian Keyes... well, forced because I've always dismissed Keyes' books because they seemed to chick-lit-y for my taste but I had never read anything by her... And now my friend had the book so I read a couple of chapters... :-) T'was okay...

Yes, I heard Anna Karenina was good!! :) I will most definitely read it (eventually), thanks! It is hard, but trust me, it is utterly worth it.

Currently reading - Sea of Death by Tim Waggoner. (< ----- FANTASTIC!)

even us literati can't resist a little light fantasy humour every now and then! i love pratchett's humour too - he never fails to raise a smile. i think wyrd sisters is my favourite - his shakespearean parody is wickedly funny without ever being offensive, and the opening lines ("when shall we three meet again?" "i can do next tuesday") always make me laugh.

i believe an american tv movie was made of the colour of magic, with sean astin as twoflower and david jason as rincewind. i haven't seen it though because it's only been aired on sky over here.

Hehe, I'm glad to hear that you can enjoy a litte light fantasy humour.. otherwise I would be so scared of you that I would never dare speaking to you again. :P I pretty much love all Death's lines in the books!
I really want to see the movie, just to see what they made the Disc world look like!

[Umm.. I'm glad to see you replied in the Jane Eyre thread, but it disappeared right after I had posted in it.. isn't it strange?!!]

It's a little pathetic how seldom I post here. I need to make more time for reading so that books take me less time to chew through.

Anyway, currently on Throne of Jade by Naomi Novik, which is the current book that hangs out in my purse for moments when I'm waiting for my parents to pick me up or I'm bored or I'm on break at work; as for other reading, ALMOST done Forest Mage by Robin Hobb. That book...well, it definitely has it adult bits. I'm hoping the third one will be a bit better. That's not to say it was bad, I just didn't appreciate all the sex bits :P

Okay, number one, I love Terry Pratchett too! *high fives all around*

And I have a crush on Zusak because...

1. He's a writer.
2. He's original.
3. He's verrrrry cute.
4. Other cool things.

Unfortunately I've read all of the interviews online available, and in several of them he mentions a wife.
 Not like I would have a chance with a twenty-something hit writer anyway, it's just a nice dream... lol.

Currently reading: The Queen of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner.

Yay Gen!
