I haven't been around in a while, so here's an update of what I've read recently: Emma by Jane Austen (one of my Austen favorites) Great Expectations by Charles Dickens (the first Dickens book I've finished!!) Te-Tao Ching by Lao Tzu (eastern philosophy) Tristan and Iseult and I am now in the process of reading: Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen Walden by Thoreau The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoyevsky (that will take a while) There's nothing like long breaks from school for pleasure reading!

I'm trying again with The Silmarillion. I'm actually going to sit down and read some of the more complicated/messy stories in the middle, because I always say I will and then I don't.

Inspired by many unanswered background questions that arose during the LOTR EE marathon, I've also started reading the Silmarillion again. But I have also picked up Stardust by Neil Gaiman for some lighter reading.

I'm back to school and needed something fun to read, so I'm re-reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

^That's the series Game of Thrones is based on, right? How similar are they?
I finished Prisoner of Azkaban and am now skipping back to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

Yeah, it is The first season is very similar, the second a little less so, but there are an incredible amount of characters in this series so it's no wonder they have to make some changes. I think the books are amazing though, maybe better than the series

Got my hands on a copy of Tolkien's Unfinished Tales, miraculously one of the few books of his that I don't already own.
Read the Fords of the Isen chapter and promptly drowned myself in Theodred feels. Oh Rohan the things you do to my fragile emotions.
