I read books fast regardless of how interesting they are. The length of time that I read it increases, though. Most books I read in several sit-down periods--there are a few, though, that I sit down and read through without a break, like Wizard's First Rule--I never moved from my bed the entire time I read that.
But, since that's kind of off-topic....
How long are those Gilbert Morris books, SG?

Lately I haven't been finishing many books unless they're ones I know and like. I can be pretty picky about my fantasy. Not to mention life has been crazy and I barely have time for RPing lots of days, let alone reading very much.
Did I already mention The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud? I believe I did. They're really good books as long as you don't have a problem with the take on magic, which my parents are okay with but some others (Christian parents, that is) might not be.
Jane Yolen has never appealed to me, I've tried various books by her. I do like Vivian Vande Velde, though - has anyone read Heir Apparent?

Oh wow... They're not even 200 pg. each, so very short. As first, I was very uncomfortable with how fast everything went, and how short they were, but after a few, I got used to them. Out of the ones I've read, they mainly focus on teenagers, and have mild romance. Actually, I don't really think it should even be considered romance... But they're great, all in all.

I hope you're still looking for a good fantasy book...You should deeeeeeeeeefinitely read R.A.Salvatore's "the dark elf trilogy", "the icewind dale", "the legacy of the drow" and all the other Drizzt books!!! If you haven't read them yet, you haven't read anything (except lotr of course )
