I just read the last one last night. :-D I love them all, altough, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe seems to be the most popular. They're my favourite fantasy books after LOTR and Harry Potter.

I love those books. We read them aloud as a family when I was seven or so. I'm trying to read them all now, though we have misplaced my favorite: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader!

I've only read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wordrobe, but that was pretty good. Edmund really makes me mad. He is SO STUPID!!!!!!!!!! :annoyed: :explode: :disgust:

So they're pretty popular aren't they? I read them when I was really young - and I think that it was because I was young that I found the books extremely boring and hard to grasp - nowadays, I'd probably have more patience with literature. :bye2:

lol, well, actually, it's that he was rather gullible and mean-spirited in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. To give you a preview of some of the other books, he turns into a noble, brave, and just man, one that if I were a man, I'd want to be like. :P Edmund shows the power of what can happen when a life is turned around.

Anyway, as you can probably tell, I've read the books many times over. We've had them in my house as long as I can remember.

I love them - read them nine or eight years ago, and we've borrowed them on audio tapes and I've read them a lot since then. :) I have the family copies - the Horse and his boy is in three pieces... My siblings have new copies, annoyingly.

For some strange reason, my favourite has always been "The Silver Chair" even though in a way it's the one I like the least... I really love them all, and cannot choose between them!

Tora Greenleaf, read Edmund's comment about traitors in the Horsew and his boy. True, he's older, but I don't think it's the comment made by someone who is stupid.

I fell in love with The Chronicles Of Narnia when i was very young as i watched a BBC version of The Lion,The Witch and the Wardrobe.Has anyone else seen it?I think it was on in the late 80's... :confused2:
I just hope that the new movies are as good!

I hated the BBC series. I'm a book purist, and was very ... shattered by it because I wanted it to be exactly like the book or else. (I would have only been 11 or so when I saw it.)

However, I'm prepared to be lenent with the film... it looks like it's going to be good, so if they take liberties, I suppose I'll have to put up with it. :P

Same here. I read "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe about five years ago, and liked it, but wasn't really into Classic Lit. I actually have some of the books on my shelf, but haven't gotten around to reading them yet.
