I read that many years ago now, i think i was abou t12 or 13 at the time. I didnt mind it, it was a little bit sappy but a the same it wasnt that bad.
It was weird when they made a movie out of it though. Other that LOTR tha book is one of the only other books I've read nd then they've made a movie out of it.

I've never actually seen the movie to be honest. I remembered the book being ok, and I was happy with my imagination, so I just didnt feel like going to see the movie. Plus the movie made it look a whole lot more sappier lol. I'm not really a fan of sappyness ^_^

I just read this a couple weeks ago. I thought it was pretty good, but I also personally liked the movie better

Yep- I liked the book too, but I also think that this is one of those rare occurances where the movie is better.

Yeah, it was good. I liked it better then the sequel, the Wedding.

The movie is sooo good! You should see it lol, it is sappy (which I don't usually like either), but it's still good.
I haven't read the book. And I don't really want to. Maybe I will.

I think it's worthwhile reading the book, although it isn't as good as the movie. It still gives you a different point of view on things, and I like his style of writing. Plus, it's pretty short- I read it in just a few hours.

I've never seen the movie, but I heard it's sad.

It is sad. It made me tear up a bit. Personally, I like the book better. I don't know why. But it definitely isn't my favorite by Nicholas Sparks. He's done a lot more that are much better.
